In any case, I will return to me poetry and see what I can come up with. Please find attached, for your reading pleasure, yet another poetic construct courtesy of the Esquilaxitavian Court Bards (and Skalds). This is a more classicly-written story in poetic form outlining the evil Mullah's first foray into Esquilaxitavia many years ago and subsequent defeat...
Many years ago in the mists of the past,
There came a dark time in which the rabbits were aghast,
Into the peaceful rabbit realm a shadowy figure crept,
Inflitrating Esquilaxitavia as its inhabitants slept.
A swarthy man from the land of Tawakalnistan,
His face covered by towel and in loose robes of tan,
A Mullah, the owner of a speckled cat called "Sushi",
An unenlightened man, a devotee of films by Belushi.
During the day bunnies hopped with rampant pleasure and glee,
Little did they know the Mullah's taste for rabbit and brie,
Then the Mullah did appear, gun in hand and trigger ready,
He aimed at the bunnies and his rifle he did steady.
The trigger was pulled and "BANG!" all hell broke loose,
The rabbits slaughtered, their pacifism a tight noose,
The rabbits were frozen by the Mullah's onslaught,
Unaware that their fear and paralysis only aided his sport.
Suddenly the rabbits, freed from their shock came to see,
The Mullah's smoking rifle and the great atrocity,
And with fear-fuelled bound and leap they did escape,
Leaving the Mullah with his triumphant mouth agape.
To the Rabbit-God did the rabbits hop,
Until in exhaustion they were forced to stop,
They rested that night and then began again 'til' light did fade,
Hastening to the Great Rabbit for his heavenly aid.
When the Rabbit heard the tidings of this evil foe,
He was saddened and angered, and forth he did go,
He instantly travelled to site of the shooting,
But the Mullah was long gone, finished with his looting.
The Rabbit-God summoned his army and set off in pursuit,
To Tawakalnistan they marched by the fastest land route,
At the border they met the Mullah's army of people forcibly drafted,
And they met in battle, the rabbits with an edge due to plans cunningly crafted.
After months of battle and deaths on each side,
The Mullah was defeated and on a tropical island did he hide,
Tawakalnistan was named Esquilaxistan and was ruled by Musty,
An ex-despot who could best be described as quite "lusty".
Esquilaxistan still stands, firm in its resolve,
To reject the Mullah's teachings and intellectually evolve,
The Mullah still sits in his suite in the tropical sun,
Eating coconuts and limes, for rabbit he has none.
See? I try new things and give you poetic *variety*, unlike some people! *Shoots superior glance in Taw's direction, and leaves work and goes home*
