Green Day's older stuff (before Nimrod) was good.

Green Day now is narcississtic, and whiny.

Linkin Park's greatest album was one that was remix by everyone else. Reanimation. the rest is a crock of self-obsessed crapulence. you want emotional? listen to some NIN or similar industrial EDM. make all that emo **** sound like ****ing pillow talk.

i love that someone had to invent a damned genre called emo, as if all music prior and since has been devoid of emotion. I tell you whats devoid of emotion, the monotone warbling of the looser from Dashboard Confessional, guy needs to open a window or something, that'll cheer him up.

I'd plump with GreenDay being better simply because i dont HATE them. lesser of two evils, so to speak. And once i was at a party with a hot chick and good riddance came on and since then, every time i hear that song im transported back to that night...so, err, green day is better, for smooching reasons only.

I HATE all Linkin Park songs. I hate all LP members. I like ONE of Green Day's tunes (Basket Case). GD wins.

I dont like either, i can tolerate green day. Linkin park isnt music its a failed attempt at pleasent sound.

I can't decide, Linkin Park is good as long as its too loud to hear anything besides bass, and Green Day's old stuff was good. I'd have to go with none of the above on this one. I actually think this question sucks, because Green Day is punk-ish and Linkin Park is like Rap Metal. It's like comparing apples and oranges.

Green Day are ok. Linkin Park are ok. Thats about as much enthusiasm as I can muster up for the two. I don't hate either, but I wouldn't go rushing out to by their albums. Green Day's "Dookie" was a reasonably good album, but still nothing to write home about. Its been done before. And better.
