Well I guess that I should announce that, as of now, I'm moving into the 21st century by switching to a 512/128 ADSL connection. It is long overdue and I will miss the good old days when 56k was "the best", but it is a necessity particularly as I can't download big mods, patches, updates, utilities, virus definitions, etc. Final will have to take my place in upholding the benefits and efficacy of ye olde modem technology. I hope you're up to it old son

.
The main reason that I created this topic is because, as I am such a well-known modem user *glares at Neo and other hecklers*, I thought that I should "come clean" in order to avoid confusion and break the news gently; no more modem jokes

. It is the end of an era; one I thought would never end

. So, that being said, farewell dear modem, farewell...
Note: I would also like to state that I have now been on TLR for 12 months and 5 days. Where does the time go?

I was wondering what TLR would be like without me, and I came up with a simple answer; the same, but full of people who wouldn't know the difference between ginger
beer and ginger
ale !
