Jimi Hendrix - Little Wing: So verrry smooth and cool.
lostprophets - Start Something: Nice metal/punk band. did some stuff for NFS:Underground.
Led Zeppilin: Need I say more?
Iron Maiden: ditto.
Static X - Shadow Zone: so what if its not true static...
HIM: awsome soft rock/metal.
Nine Inch Nails - Closer -or- The Perfect Drug: classic techno/metal mix.
Prodigy: cool when i was younger... still remember the breathe video clip...
Rage Against The Machine: Great to begin with, slowly got worse.
Spiderbait: Aussie grunge at its best.
James Brown: so funky it hurts.

@zlo: True. But I'm not saying I don't like American metal. They have some killer stuff, like Iced Earth, Killswitch Engage and Fear Factory. My thing is, American metal just doesn't seem to have the epic, operatic kind of tones that I like. That's why I think Nordic bands are better.

I not trying to nitpick on you but to me its getting rather a nuisance, I know its not done intentionally by you, but could you please tone it down a bit??

Further, not to flame you, but pronouncing something as Spam, or proclaiming it to be will only invoke it, "it" being a discussion on whether it is spam or not, resulting in flaming and so on, with the result of 1 thread demolished by one proclamation, the elders on this Forum have seen you around alot longer, and don't get me wrong we all enjoy your presence at this forum, I know I do, but the "young'uns" can react rather infuriated to that kind of statements, with all kinds of flames and spam to the consequence, and that all because of one "poo-poo" ()

also I would be glad to listen to your defense on the matter, and how you feel about it, but please for the benefit of this thread and discussion, mail me, don't post em in here. Thank you, I knew you would understand

By the way, upon further reflection, I must agree that I was rather undiplomatic. fl2003, I do not apologise for chastising you in my post, but I do apologise for the the manner in which I expressed myself. I had a *very* bad day (again) . Damn real life issues *grumble*.

I like classical some of my faves there are Vivaldi, Dtraus, Beethoven, Bizet, Verdi, Rosinni, Anton Bruckner and so I can go on forever
other faves include but is not limited to: Ray Boltz, Don Francisco, Michael Card, Scott Wesley Brown and then most gaming music

ooo i didn't know you like Bruckner? do you like "Heligoland?" that's my fav but then I have a weak spot for the symphonic poem.

have you ever heard any Villa-Lobos? he's Brazilian, and his music is Latin inspired of course, but in effect (sweeping musical landscapes and swelling themes) he's very much like Bruckner, or rather I like him for the same reasons i like Bruckner.

I'm amazed you didn't mention Wagner, shoorly he'd fit right into your list? I saw Parsifal at Bayreuth in the mid-80s, god it was wonderful. I was in pure rapture.

btw I'm a big fan of John Taverner's Byzantine polyphonies, but I get the sinking feeling that I'm prob the only person here who does. When I first heard "Akathist" (nearly 15 years ago at Brompton Oratory) I thought it was the very voice of God manifest on Earth, I'd never heard anything so moving and beautiful.

only got one Bruckner cd, only four songs on it, cant remember which they are
and no I never heard of that guy
and have only one wagner cd, havent listened to it much, but i think its nice, I pretty much like any classical
oh I forgot to mention Bach, Chopin and Mozart, specially piano pieces and a guys who's name I'll have to go check my spelling of it is terrible
