We were "made" to eat meat

Actually, if you look at the teeth of real meat eaters like lions, wolves, sharks, killer whales, etc., you'll notice that our teeth are tamer than those. It's just that our teeth also are more "carnivorous" than true grazers like horses, sheep, cows, etc.

Humans are "omnivores." We eat anything. Historically, this has included ourselves as well.

Indeed. The combination of the sharper canines and our molars suggests that humans have evolved to subsist upon both animal and plant material. Still, it is important to note that without eating meat, it becomes increasingly difficult to gain all of the vitamins and minerals that we need. It has become a physical necessity, despite the range of supplements that are available (which aren't as good as the natural product anyway).

I partially agree with you there, but be mindfull of the adaptive capabilities of a Human. Humans can adapt themselves to their surroundings. to that end I think that if only meat was available the metabolism would change within two generations and carnivorous teeth would be available.

Only two generations? I would imagine that it would take considerably more than that Loc.

Of the amino Acids in meat, Spelt grain provides almost all you need. Others like barly, flax are good as well, but these need to be in the whole grain form, not the heavily processed versions. After all, cattle get all they need from veggy/grains. People can get what they need, if we stop the processing of foods so much. *glances toward Esq*

1 word: LIES!

Repeat after me: Meat is only bad for you when it starts growing hair.

Personally, IMO: Meat, makes, a, meal.

Don't forget we don't have the four stomach compartments or the developed appendix that cattle do. If humans were designed to just eat veggies we would need huge stomachs to break down the large amounts of cellulose in our diets. Then we'd all resemble gorillas with huge pot bellies!

Back to the rooster thing: I bet the rooster was searching for some missing relative

im gunna go off topic about the veggie thing no offense to vegitarians but the reason hte human race evolved was becuase we started to eat meat and gained enough protien to develop bigger brains if we all went to strict diet of veggies over time cos of the lack of protiens we would go back down the evolutionary chain or start to mutate to adapt.

Hmmmm. Interesting theory. I would have thought that it is because humans evolved with greater brain wattage, thus better ability to adapt, that we are omnivores so that we are less apt to starve to death as wel can take our nutrition as we find it (as foragers/scavengers).
