much better! I told you to try monochrome as well, see how it brings out details better because of the increased contrast, and its far more atmospheric. excellent photo!

I prefer sepia if you're taking photos with reflections in them, as colour always looks better for shininess.

you might like to try a polarising filter for your sunny day b&w shots, esp if there's sky with clouds; looks great!

you still need to work on your composition, but you are improving in leaps and bounds. I can hardly fault the first one

slightly out of focus and some clutter in the background, but the main subject is well shot, good moment captured, and actually rather well composed being a bit off centre, nice touch!

once the actual technicalities of photography have been learnt, ie focussing, exposure, camera shake etc, composition is the next big thing to learn. You are getting there, but you'restill a bit snap happy. Unf composition is largely a matter of personal choice but you will see that there are some arrangements that work and some that do not.

I think you can polarise with Photoshop, ask brother Gromit. Personally I only use my digital for snaps and record shots, and anything i want to put on the net; my "real" photography is still done with my SLR and chemical film, it's far more versatile and much better quality imho. But then I am very old-fashioned as you know
