Dante''s Inferno Test

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

@sw

we're not allowed to be good?
It's pessimistic view of judgement, only bad things pull you down, good things don't pull you up.

the Ninth Level:

This is the deepest level of hell, where the fallen angel Satan himself resides. His wings flap eternally, producing chilling cold winds that freeze the thick ice found in Cocytus
So Hell has frozen over?

I got:

Your fate has been decided....
You are one of the lucky ones! Because of your virtue and beliefs, you have escaped eternal punishment. You are sent to the First Level of Hell - Limbo!
First Level of Hell - Limbo

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Charon ushers you across the river Acheron, and you find yourself upon the brink of grief's abysmal valley. You are in Limbo, a place of sorrow without torment. You encounter a seven-walled castle, and within those walls you find rolling fresh meadows illuminated by the light of reason, whereabout many shades dwell. These are the virtuous pagans, the great philosophers and authors, unbaptised children, and others unfit to enter the kingdom of heaven. You share company with Caesar, Homer, Virgil, Socrates, and Aristotle. There is no punishment here, and the atmosphere is peaceful, yet sad.

Bah, I resolve to be worse

Dante does indeed describe the deepest pit of hell as frozen, for it is the furthest removed from the light of Heaven. btw Satan is upside down as a result of his fall.

uhh its just a book about the levels of hell dont take it literally. I doubt you have mythological creatures in there.

Post Thu May 13, 2004 2:07 pm

what the hell are you on about, 'snipa? no-one thinks of it literally, it's a 14th century allegory! Dante put mythological creatures in in order to establish continuity with the Classical past, that's why the Roman poet Virgil is Dante's guide. Everyone knows that.

sweetness sweetness I was only joking when i said, I'd like to smash every tooth in your head..
