This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

What does "ROTFLMAO" mean? Now that we come to it, what is the point of a *bump*? What the hell is "W00t!"? Sorry to go REALLY off-topic, but these things have been bothering me for ages. If you respond, I'll give you a nice link! Oh what the hell, here are two about water on Mars. Here's one from space.com, and here's a press release from NASA.

*Off-Topic*

ROTFLMAO means: Rolling On the Floor Laughing My Ass Off.
w00t means something like Yeehaaww. In any Case it is an Outcry
that means something like "Cool" or something similar.
What a Bump is?? I don't know for sure, but I think it is something used by a person that doesn't condone the thread because it contains either Spam or something else he doesn't like.

NASA say that they've found evidence in the rocks that water once flowed through them

Thanks Loc, I've always been interested in expanding my vocabulary. W00t!

Well I said i'd give a update so here it is.
The quote from NASA is they have evidense that mars was once "soaking wet". They feel it even had oceans with currents. They can not tell from the pictures exactly when but they can tell that the rocks were submerged in water in the past. Well this is all I know for now and I have a pile of Calculus waiting on me. Ill post more tommorrow if i know anything else.

A question. If a planet has water, possible oceans, lakes, rivers ect, and an atmosphere, how could that water disappear? There would be some form of salt deposits wether sodium, calcium, magnesium, ect. What ever life was in it would leave fossels, remains, bones. After all, we are still finding dino bones even these days.

Also, what is the reported temp on mars? If it is lower than earth, cold, there would be only ice and no water, Hmmmm?

Well, off to bed. Yaaaooonnn!

Matt - That was in the second (press release) link. I thought I'd save you to trouble .

Off-topic, I have one more question. Where does "all your base are belong to us" come from, and what does it refer to?

Post Wed Mar 03, 2004 12:27 am

He doesn't know the legend of All your base are belong to us!

Launch Zieg!

The picture that they took to say there is or was water, called the picture El Capitain, which is a deffinant insult to the real El Capitain in california. Good luck with getting ice NASA.

Did anyone see that episode of The Planets on UK Horizons about possible life in the solar system? They pretty much dismissed life on Mars except perhaps in the polar caps where all the water is supposed to be.

Mars is far too cold for liquid water - surface temperatures can be as low as -113C.

Personally, I think the biggest sign that there is intelligent life out there is that none of it has tried to contact us yet (cliche).

Where does "all your base are belong to us" come from, and what does it refer to?

Does this help?

Apparently an atomospheric generator is going to be designed and sent to Mars to prepare for the first Human visitors.

An update on the mission. They at least are finding some salts. It lends a little more credibility to the water theory.
