Mars Mission

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

Mars Mission

I've just read the lastest so I figured i'd fill everybody in, not much has been said about it for awhile around here.
It appears the Opportunity rover has found something quite big. NASA is not saying anything about it but will say what it has discovered at a press conference on tuesday. It is only saying it is "significant finding" of the history of water on mars. I'll post a update on here after the press conference tommorrow.

I wonder what they classify a "significant finding" of the history of water on mars? If it's a picture of a hole that looks like it might of conatined water at some stage i'll be very upset.

what if they've found a bucket, or a bottle of Evian?

"750million dollars for a bottle of poncey French water? what a jip!"

Could be a water tower...

'Now here we have a nice pan view if the martial landscape, now coming into view is a big alien water bucket, and over here youll see, WAITTT! thats not meant to be there!, whos been fiddling with the tapes???'

or it's a water bill from Severn-Trent Water Board for 275 million years worth of back-payments, with VAT @ 17.5% of course.

ROTFLMAO!

Post Tue Mar 02, 2004 3:11 am

oh how very interesting.. i too want to know how it turns out. my super duper large telescope never points in the general direction of mars

I think TAW was close. No water was found because it was turned iff for non-payment of the bill

I rekon there probably is life on mars, an smart too,
they probably sit there, let the probes an woteva land then put some cardboard over the camera lens and laugh at the stupidity of the NASA scientists!

It's a barrel, made of wood

It was the spacecraft used by an energetic clan of inbred morons to immegrate to Kamchatka, but due to a horrid mistake they ended up on mars

Mars- a worthless dustball, might be useful for shipyards, but otherwise WORTHLESS!!!!!!
NASA- agency set up by US govt to waste money on examining ROCKS R-O-C-K-S
STONES, PEBBLES AND OTHER SAND TYPE CR@P!!!!

here is some info I believe

Spirit has apparently uncovered a "mucky" substance below the surface of Mars. While astronomers are not certain, some believe that this "muck" may in-fact be mud, and contain water. If it is mud, and does contain water, then the ability for humans to spend long periods of time on Mars would be enhanced greatly, as a replenish-able source of water would exist.
