Bloody IE
This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

Me? Lecture you about browsers?? MEEE???
Right people, listen up If you're using nutscrape stop it. Stop it right now or I'll come around to your house and slap you and your families repeatedly with a wet fish. Its not big. Its not clever. And its definitely NOT a good browser
I used to recommend IE to most web users...but times have changed, browser technologies have moved on and microsoft haven't kept up with times. My designs are mostly treated nicely by Mozilla nowadays....Full CSS2 support rather than your microsoft 78% support...Excellent pop-up killer...does everything I want except one thing - I reaaallly want them to implement the "Ctrl-Enter" shortcut for dot com addresses, its the only thing I miss from IE.
Fact of the matter is that I have to test in 12-15 browsers every day, different platforms, different version numbers....and the latest Mozilla is by far the best overall. If you are using IE, make sure its the latest version or else soon you won't be able to view any sites that conform with W3C Consortium Standards, or the American 508 Accessibility Clauses. And as for Nutscrape, if you insist on using this god awful program, use the latest version - 4.7 is no longer supported by ANY designers.

Give Windows Update a try anyway with IE. You're going to have to keep IE if you intend to use the Windows update feature with all the automated gew-gaws that go with it at the MS ASP site anyway. I remember that when I used IE, whatever it ended up getting mangled with while using it for normal cruising, the same problems did not replicate when I used the Windows update feature.
Maybe it will be the same for you.

You're leaving it up to me, Taw? Bah, that's only because you have gone over this ground a hundred times before and you're sick of it!
Wolfy -
Indy - ME and Netscape?!?!? *Shakes head* Oh Indy... ME is ok (for some lukcy people), but I agree with Grom; Netscape is awful. It is slow, incompatible with many sites, and has a habit of crashing on a regular basis (at least mine did). Get rid of it and get Mozilla or Opera or something. You won't regret it. Trust me .
pS - Just use IE for Windows Update, and for anything else that needs it. For everything else, eg. posting on TLR, checking your email, sending spam , use Mozilla, etc.

What do you mean? Taw and I just told you that there were better options out there! Some people just don't listen...

If you do want to stay with IE, you might try MY-IE 2 I have used it in the past and it works pretty good, for just a hybrd of IE.

@Esqy,
Like I said to Wolfy, don't go by me. I had become so thoroughly disgusted with IE that I just downloaded Netscape before I knew what else I was doing.
Oddly, it is working quite nicely for me. In comparison to IE, it is far more stable, no freezes, no alt+ctrl+del bail outs needed. Initial load up is a tad slower than IE but it is otherwise incomparably faster when I cruise.
I HAVE been meaning to move to Mozilla but... you know how it goes. Its working for me and, well, I'd rather cruise than uninstall, dowload and install. One of these days, I'll move over to Mozilla. Just don't know when yet.
