T h e Best Bond movie of all, is Octopussy. Bond gets to work with a girl two times. Maude Adams. She was in an earlyer bond movie as well. The floating palace is nice as well.

Aha! No Esq, you haven't got me yet! By saying that I wouldn't recommend anyone seeing them, I did not mean, nor was I talking to people ON THIS FORUM!!! I was instead telling you of how I would react if someone asked me what a good movie was. I also made sure that it was my opinion by saying it isn't MY favourite.

The movies themselves aren't bad, and I appreciate the fact that the movies are not taken too sersiously. Unfortunately, they are becoming even more cliched of late, however have always been rather generic in my opinion. I think that it is the nature of the genre though; evil guy wants to take over the world and/or has superweapon, and is eventually defeated, etc.

Edit: Maybe, but I'm not convinced Griff, as I think that your statement is open to interpretation. Still, I'll get ye, watch your back old chum .

but "evil guy wants to take over the world and has superweapon" is stock Bond stuff, you cant have a Bond film without these stock elements. Thats the fun, you know exactly what youre going to get and you can have a bl**dy good laugh and watch Bond make preposterous escapes with fit birds and flash cars. Dads and lads get off on the gadgets guns and chix, the women get gooey over Bond or any of his avatars and occasionally the baddie if its Borromir. So everybodys happy!

david niven was almost as good as connery (thatl get a few people on google i bet)

First, no offence meant to anyone, everyone has their favorite, but the best two are Connery and Moore. Connery with stoires, and Moore with the women. Unfortuantly , they are just too old to continue.
