Starwars......

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

Starwars......

Okay this may have been addressed before but hell I'm new so .......

I just finished watching episode 2 on HBO .....must be about the 90th time I guess.......but something struck my attention at the very end....they showed star destroyers blasting off of the planet......am I the only one that thought of these mechanical monstrosities as being extra-planetary only?

I mean come on what kind of escape velocity are we talking here!!!!!!

Good?....Bad?......I'm the guy with the gun.

they're not really proper Star Destroyers are they? they'll obv become Star Destroyers one day, but they're just big Republic troop-carriers at the mo'. And they prob use anti-grav or some claptrap like that.

True enough I suppose.....

I was hoping they were going to be Victory Star Destroyers, but alas, no Fans are EVER listened to when it comes to the New Trilogy

Just remember we still have episode 3 to look forward to Acron. Maybe some of the victory class destroyers will be in there.

It wouldn't suprise me if they put in a few victory class in Ep 3. I personaly think that Attack of the Clones will be the architectual transition movie for ship design. I'm guessing that the clone wars will be in full swing in Ep 3 and there will be a lot of mass produced ships, I'm really hoping to see a few z-95 headhunters more than anything.

I agree with Mustang. It will be nice to see the pre-curser to the X-Wing. Im hopping that episode 3 will contine with the first death star. Episode 2 had the scene with the plans for the first one, maybe well get to see the begining of its consturction in 3.

All this talk of Victory Star Destroyers and Z-95 headhunters reminds of Tie Fighter. Which was one helluva cool game.

It would be nice to see all those ships in Episode 3.

Here are some Episode 3 spoilers, which I have not read, that may give some info as to the ship content. From the looks of it, it doesn't really.

Actually, the spoilers reveal pretty much everything about Episode 3. Click at your own risk.

When I watched Ep 2, I always felt that it was a shame that they didn't have someone as proficient at writing the dialogue as the guy who came up with the designs. The way in which walkers were introduced, the similarity between stormtrooper and clonetrooper armour and the many other similarities that pointed to the designs prevalent in the orginal movies made it fairly interesting. Still, without a decent storyline and dialogue it won't make it a great movie.
Fingers crossed for Ep3 though!

I've read the spoilers. The movie looks like it will shape up to kick ass. It's like reading the books before seeing LotR. I wanna see Episode three now...

I started reading those spoilers then I got scared and stopped.
