Red Dwarf

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

Red Dwarf

This is the third in my series of obligatory threads (obviously ). Does anyone around here watch Red Dwarf? Nice little British comedy series, many amusing jokes. I love satire, and Red Dwarf satirises Sci-Fi well, don't you agree? I just wish that they'd show the series on Australian television! I haven't seen the show for ages! I find the show a little crude sometimes (as usual), but that seems to be the defining chracteristic of many comedic shows these days. Still, it is definately worth a chuckle or two...

I was rather expecting Duriel to start this thread. He brought up the latest mention of the Esperanto in AoD's "Aye i must also..." thread.

I like the show, just watched five episodes yesterday, and now I'm logging off to watch the last of Season 1. I will be getting Seasons 3&4 when they come out here on DVD.

I also like the show Black Books, just wish it was still played here in the US.

SS has finally reached the coveted title of "Port Commodore". More power to him! . He had to rub it in didn't he? "I just watched five episodes..." I'll get him for that!

I though you get Port Commodore at 1400 and SS has almost 1700. --- VH16

I would so get my nameplate on my desk to read that, if I had a job

Whoever came up with "Mission Commision" should be lined up and shot

Yes! I used to watch it alot. I've forgotten most of it now....

I have season 1 and 2 on DVD. And SS has been a Port Comodore for sometime.

I agree on the sS thingy.

And cut the obligatory stuff. that's a stupid word.

I've seen the Red Dwarf a few times, on BBC only tho. They don't show it in Holland. Must be to "Brittish". I can get some jokes, but I'm afraid I miss like 75% of all the "non-visual" jokes.

Edit: Damn spelling.

Daft Vader - I am your father.
sS - Noooooooo! I demand a DNA-test.

one of the best comedies in recent years barrie ,charles, jules etc just seem to be perfect for the show
there has been talk of a film for several years but i believe grant/naylor wont let the americans make it and if it happens it will be a british film; this i totally agree with as for it to work it has to have the trademark low budget special effects and british accents its part of its charm

No ****! Man, how can I have missed that. Tnx for the tip

What can I say? I've just noticed SS's rank (it's been a long, hot summer here in Aus).

SS - As for Esperanto, how about this;

Bonvulo alsendi las pordistion - lausajne estas rano en mia bideo - Rimmer.

And I think we all know what that means!

Nickless - Fine, I'll think about not to using the word "obligatory" anymore, but don't hold your breath! Still, of all the annoying things I could be doing, that must be near the bottom of the list...
