Wing Commander Movie: Was it REALLY THAT BAD?

Chris Roberts is supposedly producing a Wing Commander TV show... All I know is it will be live action and it is supposed to debut sometime this year. No other details...

One other thing that was messed up in the movie, Paladin ever held the rank of Commodore, he did however hold the rank of General

Yeah, he was a General in WC III, but that was years after the events of WC I.
In WC 1 he was just a Major and not a Commodore ! (as seen in the movie) So that really shows how much they screwed up the story for the movie.

Plus he did't joined Covert Ops till WC II

Commodore is a TC Nacy rank and Major is a TC Space Forces Rank (Air Force)

Paladin also was a Scotsman in the games... in the movie he's French. But you know what? I don't care about these changes, i still like the movie.

Well, if Wing Commander never had been created, then nobody would miss it, because you can´t miss something that doesn´t exist.....

The fact is that Chris Roberts created one of the greatest Sci Fi stories ever, told through games, books, fan fiction and yes....a very poor movie. But the WC universe is unique in its kind and very rich, so anything is possible. Chris just should have stayed with games....

It has been known for some time... His website, PNR Productions or whatever, had WC listed under both games and TV films. Weird, but only a TV show was ever confirmed. Heard about it at Wcnews, but since I don't go there anymore for other reasons, I havn't heard anything new. I am, however, keeping an eye out on tvguide

Funny,

Wing Commander was a great game (as were its sequels) but Chris Roberts seems to think the cinematics made the games.

In truth, the games made the cinematics. Too bad he has stars in his eyes I'd love to see him make WC5
