your questions have already been answered in the previous 3 pages! yes, I answer my e-mails.

@van03, I have no clue. I've taken a standard game saved game (at cali base before kyushu in a drone) and bought a mod incl ship finished the game and beyond w/ no prob. try a saved game from slightly before or slightly after and see what happens. you have run sdk1.3 on the data files? w/ no mod activated?

@inside out, at exactly what point in the storyline do you ctd? (as w/ any mod, the more detailed info you give the mod maker/helpers/vols, the easier it is to help you)

thanks for being patient with us $%#$%?% noobs.
CW 2.33 crashed in mission 11. That's the one where they rescue the president from Alaska. I found my way back there but that's beside the point.
Follow me here : Trent and the motley crew have retrieved the president fron the prison. They (we) head back to New York. Figths with the nomads, heads for the jumpgate to New York, gets in the jumpgate, the jump cinematics start, and seem to finsh THEN this is where the crash happens. No transition from the cinematics to exit fron FL to the desktop.

I will be rereading this thread from start to finish (5 pages). The more we say on this forum the more we can help others with problems.

I can go both ways : multiple directories or running with a single directory with the SDK being slapped in every time (if) there is a crash.

@BA, in using the different FL directories, can you load up flmm w/ mods for one dir, then without restoring backups, load a different mod for a different dir?

@ insideout, dude, I have no clue. I used the files (Li01,Li05.ini) that I had fixed from 2.31 and just dropped them into 2.33, overwriting the 2.33files. I had no problem.

Next question for Freelancer gurus :

When files get correupted, are they the files in c:\Program files\Freelancer, or the ones in the MyGames\Freelancer directories ?

I have a suspicion that a fragmented harddisk could cause problems when deactivating a MOD.

In any case I will try the SP missions from just before the crash to see if it happens again. Multiple dirs help a lot with testing.

files....Yes, yes and also c:/program files/FLMM.
you are doing yourself no favors w/ a fragged drive.
when you apply a mod the mod manager copies the file in MSgames/freelancer/data that its modifying, copies over w/ the modded file. then in undoing it copies over the modded file w/ the copy of the original. that's why its important to restore backups, otherwise you're leaving the modded file in the ms game. the next mod you load up (if different) might not overwrite all that was left behind. like, the game ask for the skin for a salmanca and gets a wh?.... a skin for a nomad cruise disrup? that's not suppo.....ctd!
small example. yes, there are plenty of opportunities to have a file not copy perfectly (Damn you Mickeyslop). all things considered, it doesn't happen that often.

I like this mod. @the makers; Have you seen stargate-sg1? you should add some of the ships from in there, like the asgard ships.

hey, i have been playin this mod for a while and have been to every sector known (including new ones) except one. I can't seem to locate the jump hole to the old republic system. could someone tell me where it is. jsut the system the jump gate is in would do, then you might not consider it a spoiler.

I have to say this mod is incredible...Thanx for making it possible.

Just have a lil problem.....

the enterprise cannot dock or moor with any base or planet in my game.

I was wondering if there is another mod out that could fix this or if anyone else had the problem and could tell me how to resolve it.

Whenever I try activating it, it says "The central directory was not found in the archive (or your were trying to open not the last disk of a multi-disk archive)

And then FLMM turns on. I've had this problem before, but I forgot what to do.

there seemes 2 be a prob actavating the mod says it cant find dest movie
did a reinstall of sdk & FL . server went up just fine playe 4 a min then hit restore back ups changed the ironcross to v2.33 4 some reason it froze finally got it closed went 2 actaviate your mod in the Flmm and it gave me the same error about the missing movie ?????
what gives want 2 test it on our server any help eould b great

Hey dudes, I got a problem. None of the new systems or tradelanes, or planets, or jumpholes/gates etc. have names! Plus, all the starwars ships seem to have "IDS?" as their names, and I can't see the stats (armour, gun/turret mounts etc) for them. Any ideas? I have "AC2 Clanwars2.33 - factions" and FLMM 1.3.
Can anyone help me?
