Nothing - there is no other side. That is why you keep crashing. It used to go to NY. It was so that lazy old me could start the game up, launch from manhatten and jump straight to any system i wanted. In all the ini files for the new systems, you will find a entry for that jumphole which has a load of semi colons commenting it out (means game doesn't read it). ALso - in systems shortest paths, you will find the routes from NY to each system, including some to systems that don't exist.

Also - there is a system file for a new system that i never finished - i only went there a few times.

There are also ships flown by the NPC's that have been removed - like the hornet, cougar, starviper were for the kusari house corps (samura and kishiro) and the rheinland ones flew the snub and soulstealer. These are by diferent names in the game if i remember right, but someone was telling me about crashes, so for a general large scale release for testing, i took them out. However, it turns out his comp is playing up - so they might not be a problem after all ( i didn't think they were - oh well - lol). I will put em back in (just need to remove a couple of those semi colons commenting them out is all)


OH - one last thing. tell me if you see the NPC's flying the new VHF as well - perhaps stumbling across some Bretonain ones causes the crashes in Bretonia? Dunno - keep your eyes pealed! LOL

Anyone found pilots being dropped by ships during missions?

Changed all ships reps - you will now be able to buy ships (previously the capships were unpurchasable as well - you just couldn't get em to love you enough )

Well, I have used both Soulstealer and Hornet, great ships. And I have seen both the Snub and Viper somewhere. I noticed the Viper were much lighter than in TNG, and the Cougar was flying around in Kusari space.

And I haven't got any pilots drop, but in Omega 41 I got me a slave, lol. Talking about drop, our pale blue friends from earlier days doesn't drop their guns. And they have only lasers now. I guess you made it so. I killed alot of them outside Freeport 9, but got nothing but batts/bots.

Well - i can change that back no sweat, its just that they are using my own loadouts for the encounters, not the ones that they have in the unknowns. However, go to the unknown, and meet your maker.................hee hee

Yeah - TNG blow everything out of proportion. I really dislike their mod due to that fact. I mean - i took on and won against a battle group in a light fighter with proto type shields, weapons and power supply. Now - for me, it should take a fleet to take down a fleet. Also - B'ships don't have shields. They never did, they never will.

Seeing as the viper etc are small fighters, then they are light fighters. One of tehm is a heavy fighter, but thats it. I like a balance game. Hence the spread of fighters in this, plenty to have - light, and heavy.

TNG is all VHF VHF VHF VHF VHF VHF and dazzling effects for guns. take that away and you aint left with much..........

Soulstealer and snub are from Giskard at Respawn.co.uk
Viper, Cougar and Hornet are from the guys at Astral Prime studios.

Suggest you check out HU8.1 if you haven't at any point. Its brilliant, and i used some of Giskards ideas (like passengers) with his permission for this mod. HU is my fav mod - it also has a kinda story thing going - where you search for things. I SSSoooooooooo liked that idea, that it is being built as a mod option for this mod itself - so you can activate to get a selection of story ideas (Governers daughter kidnapped, Collect double agent, rescue turncoat from his own faction - those sorts of things)

I think I was in the new London system(again NOTHING HAS NAMES, Including systems, bases,ships, weopons, commodities and upgrades) using the Trader OpenSP and a Bretonian Battleship and its escorts hit the main planet(I think it was New London) one of the escorts smacked straight into the planet, but the Battleship managed to turn so it entered atmo right behind the docking ring. It then started exploding, and about halfway through the explosion sequance the game crashed. I haven't been able to see if it would happen again because no more have crashed into planets(which I guess is a good thing. lol) That is the only really major problem I've had(besides the no name thing) theres been no slow loading times or other crashes(I saw some Cuogars flying around in Kusari space, but no crashes from it) sorry, I didn't see the edit to your first post, I'm trying it now.

Ah - I have changed a few things to try to avoid that, but if its cause they are trying to use nano bots etc, then simply, they won't bloomin carry any. That'll teach them!

Erm no - not yet sorry, been a busy couple of days for me so far

Will do shortly though - am still trouble shooting the crash in Li07 (prison) - and then searching for some other things too. Will keep you all posted though!

Well- half sorted that base now - just crash at the bar? Never seen that before - LOL

Fixed the CSV having a couple of wrong stats - and made it have 35 cargo space. Fixed the starblazer infocard being wrong too!

Well, I have a few updates here too. I deleted all savegames and started all over, with just the TEMP mod and "campaign cutscenes" enabled. And now I can buy whatever I want wherever I want As soon as I got rid of that *****y lady I started exploring again, and I haven't encountered any problems so far

There is however a problem at both Alpha and Crete when buying new ship. I get a Sabre/Titan even if I choose the other ship

And now I'm going to test MP on my home network

Ya - am working on that prob - between this and the other two mods, i am a busy guy. Before my comp got a virus which set me back about 2 weeks last month, i was actually trying to make it so that when you refuse Juni, you can do whatever you wish. I will get back to that at some point i suppose.

I posted this on the TE forum as well. Some of the stuff has been mentoned here so I won't bring them up again.

The Starviper LF has a max shield rating of 4 and comes with a Class 5 when you buy it

The Medium fighters have no power upgrades available, but I was able to mount a VHF upgrade on my Cougar.

You can "trade ammunition" between Elite HQ and Detroit making 350k per trip. Hornet CD ammo, Moonstalkers, and Driller mines mostly.

++Crash++ I took a mission from Freeport 9 from the BHG against Corsairs. It was a level 39 and I would have gotten 275k to kill ships. I was flying a Cougar at the time. When I launched from the station it caused what amounts to a major MP server crash. It was term0shad's server, so perhaps he has the technical data about the crash.

Hmm - worrying about the server crash, AND the trading probs! LOL - will sort that out soonish on the stuff, but its 3am and have not had too much of a break all day. Will sort those all out tomorrow - thanks Kirghiz!

Hmm - sounds like a loadouts prob out in Theta then! LOL Wonder who it might be this time - well - time to search search search! hee hee.

unfort, there is little to do about the power upgrades, apart from the fact that the LF will loose thruster power over the VHF by not having the right powerplant.

I cannot actually sort this out unless i do something like make the powerplants use a certain amount of hold space, in increasing increments. At that point, holds have to get bigger, but then some medium powerplants upgrades (high end) would allow for someone to have a larger hold for VHF than they should. It might be possible, but would be facing some readjustments. If people think this is a issue that should be dealt with, then i will sort it, its not toooooo inconvienient!

Shield is sorted by the way. As is cruise disruptors. Soon to be fixed are any guns that sell near NY too.......

Dam - am a glutton for punishment. Anyways, have sorted out all but the crash just now. Will get on that tomorrow (oh - aint made a medium upgrade.

mainly as this will 1) include changing some stats (take about one hour) tomorrow to ensure it will work, and
2) Because there aren't any medium fighters actually - only LF, HF, and VHF. I always thought there were, but the hawk is LF!

Hmm - will probs do that in fact, let me know if anyone wants that feature or not, and also any other probs. Will go crash huntin tomorrow -will take a hour or so i bet! LOL

I copied the dll files and thier is still no names! I'm going to try re-installing freelancer and the mod, see if that works.

Well, as far as the mediums go, what's in a name? If you have to make it a light or a heavy to make the medium equipment work here are some suggestions. The cougar could stand to turn a little quicker, but I like that torpedo. It has the class 6 guns of a heavy, but is armored like a light. So, is it a heavy or a light? I nearly took out a Liberty Dreadnought with it because of the Torpedo and speed to evade fire. I would have done it too, but it shot off my torpedo. LOL. It is truly a medium, if there ever was one. So, what can you do without killing that ship one way or the other? It would either be the best Light fighter or worst Heavy fighter, but that torpedo gives it the kick that makes you want to play it. Do what you will with it Chips, it's your deal. Hope that helped. lol

PS. Can you tell that I love that ship?
