TEMP MOD FEEDBACK
Here you can announce your own Freelancer MOD and find information about the different available packages!
Well, after cruising around for hours now, I found some minor and some major bugs.
1. Docking at the prison station in Florida gives me a CTD
2. Ronin mounts only LF shield.
3. Bretonia Gunboat missing stats.
4. Bretonia Anni's class 8 same stats as class 6
5. Passengers from Tokyo to Manhattan marked London
6. NPC's fighting at cruise-speed
7. All ship stats at Baltimore shipyard messed up
I have been to 42 systems and 90 bases so far, and docking/launching works just fine. And I've found some promising trade routes, but haven't tried them out yet.

Cool stuff - thankyou!! Brilliant. Not sure why there is a CTD at the station - but will sort that out immediately. Now the fun bit, bloody infocards. Well - will start on all this tomorrow, should be done by lunch or so. If you have any ideas of stuff you think i should be putting in then let me know.
I still haven't tried MP, cause i have an idea to stop crashes when regenning hull as a battleship whilst blowing up - its obvious, but ruins the effects of your death - but who cares if it makes MP stable to be honest.
Anyone found my minefield system? think i might have to have a look again, and make a SP mod for that system, so that it lights it up with about 300 nav bouys instead.
Oh - and before anyone asks, the reason the mod has no factions, is because its got to be SP playable mainly. MP is all good etc, but what happens when there is no more MP due to no servers or something. There are other ships included in the mod, but not active at this point in time (a bug? Perhaps it wasn't according to my tester who has been having probs!)
Oh - feel free to leave comments and suggestions too - as this is still in Beta phase, so i can change it if something good comes up! What else should i do (stopped working cause after 4 months without public feedback its hard to be motivated!

chip the only prob so far is i cant use my iron cross mkII server operater it wont work ill see if the designer has any imput on that or if you no let ne no k other than that server side ran good for an hr so far will let you no if there r any crashes k
ps will let me use the older ironcross progrm to edit stuff n look at charaters thats all see you later maybe on the site dont no bye for now

CRASH!! I was in a bretonia system(don't know wich one, no name, wich must be on my side because no one else seems to be having a problem) and a battleship crashed into a planet. Halfway through the explosian sequence Freelancer crashed.(maybe it tried to nano?) Also how do I buy a cap ship? I got all the way green with bretonia police and Navy but still could not buy one of thier ships(it still said must be on friendlier terms) I really like nomads turning up in house systems it was fun to watch Mollys and police ganging up on them. Does anyone know how to fix the no names bug I'm having? Because I can't trade because base names don't show up on the prices list, just the prices.

I absolutely love the mod, and I've only played it for like an hour! so far ive headed north with my cargo hold full of Passengers to New Tokyo, but got engrossed in that new Kusari system you've done! How many other new systems are there? In the final release could you include a jump hole in the Badlands (New York) to Sol (Our system!) lol (hey they rhyme)?

o yeh, there were a few bugs tho, sorry ! in the guangzou province system or whatever it is, the ship dealers all come up as commodity traders and some of the ship dealers windows won't open! plus the trade lanes in that system go all wonky and if other ships are in front of you, u can still overtake thm, and they go all wonky and j e r k (it blokd it b4) through the trade lane. also the trade lanes are named wrong in that system. eg,, i came through the galileo jg, but it says i was in the Omega-41 Jump Hole->Hanoi (i think it was Hanoi!) unless there was an omega-41 jump hole in there somewhere and i missed it. the honshu jump gate to planet kirishima trade lane is labelled as New York Jump Hole->Kirishima. no major problems so far, just thought id point out a few little creases that need ironing out a bit!
The idea of friendly terms for commodities is a little bit annoying, but i suppose its more realistic! i like the idea of engines, scanners, etc. that you have to buy them! how did u manage that one! so far im addicted. o yeah, another good point, the jump gates are different colours inside, woohoo, no more borin sky blue!

Okay - crash in Bretonia. What system please? Also - where you using Open SP with it (had issues with Open SP causing crashes in bretonia, but thought i had sorted it). I have an idea that will fix the blowing capship repairs crash for next version, and there are a few other things. Reason something said NY jumphole, was cause it used to be there. IN fact, the Giux whatever provence used to be what i turned alaska into, but the SP wasn't too fond of that idea....lol
Keep em coming, If you can make a list, its easier for me to see probs to fix - like: By the way, wonky tradelanes are because they are taking u up! (or down). I did make them vertical or angled, but it wouldnt work - it would only work one way.

Tradelane in Kepler system that leads to station * from the jumpgate is named wrong going.
Cannot buy capships as need to be too freindly (can fix this in a second)
Blah Blah fighter info card says its actually a piece of fruit
Blah gun has the same info card as the one two classes higher
Thanks - cause that way it makes it easier to just work from lists (i can copy and paste them all into word and then work on them. Also makes it easier to see if two people are describing the same problem, but differently due to long explanations!

(Ps, the mod is approximately 10 meg in size. It isn't as big as others as i haven't rammed it full of ships...........i have just got about 8 new ships, then the rest are FL ships, some reused!)
Also - if you think of any ideas, let me know as well - like the 2nd hand ships ideas. Anyone noticed that they have missing lights, lower mounts, missing hardpoints, less capable, crap stuff etc. Are they too crap? Should you start out with something a little worse than right now? is the info i put too silly, should it be more serious?
Oh - and let me know if you find the internal jumpholes in two of the systems, and that they are working fine too. Also - you should be able to go through most of the games closed jumpholes as well - only Alaska has defeated me!

Okay - fixed Br Gunship, fixed anni guns probs (wrong ammo in line still - lol), cannot find a prob with passengers from Tokyo to Manhatten - they are brought for more in manhatten than london (10 times more) - basically - set like this:
Commodity_passengers1 = Berlin
Commodity_passengers2 = Tokyo
Commodity_passengers3 = new London
Commodity_passengers4 = Manhatten
Now - in New london, passengers3 are set to be brought for the most, in Manhatten its passengers4, and the names are all correct as well (in select_equip.ini file) - so not sure till i fly out to look! LOL. Will do later though.
Have changed some stats - commodities won't need such good reps - now lighlty friendly and half freindly to buy. You can now buy capships weapons and other things (they were set to need too high a rep). Slowly worming my way through the bugs - will all be sorted shortly - apart from the worrying crash problem...... - need more specifics than 'Bretonia' as that will give me about 1-2 million characters of text to look through to find if there is a bug. Please try to remember what systems you are in when flying around. Also - where you were - even if its just near a station that is good, as it cuts it down to about 10 parts of a ini file to scan through!
If you don't, then i don't have a hope in hell on how to find the bugs. So please - pay attention to where you are. Please use the latest FLMM versions too - that way i will know it aint a problem with that!
Ship delears windows not opening, you mean you click on the window and it closes itself when it opens (like it flashes up?) That is typical of not setting anything to sell in the market_ships.ini files. However, it helps if you can tell me which stations that is happening upon too - lol

I have a little more, sorry.

Okay - the speed probs are these:
The light fighters go 130. With a pirate thruster (goes faster than others) this will pump speed right up to nearly 300 - however, all NPC's except in storyline carry real energy supplies, so they should (should) run out of thrust. However, if this is a prob - would you like cruise speed increased to about 400 instead of just the normal 300?? That should make the difference.......
What do you think?
Okay - also - the info cards on some ships. There are discrepancies between the two sets (one says 120 nanos, but the other 80) which i have sorted out for tranports etc, but there is no naming problem at all as far as i can find out!

Actually - have sorted most gun price probs. Also - one of the other guns had a bad ids info number - so if you get a starfury with a bad readout, then i think its been fixed just now (when you buy it, not when armed)

Ah shucks, must be Open SP then. We got it when trying to enter tradelanes, and also flying round the cambridge system. Mainly struck in Manchester though. Was a pain, but we found using the neutral Save game eraditcated this prob. Think its a bug with Open SP then - as otherwise, there aint no crashes. Strange that one, will have to investigate one day.
Oh well - avoid manchester as that crashes near tradelanes mainly (as you dock with them) with Open SP. Without Open SP - you should not get a crash!
Will up the speed then. Don't want it too fast, as i don't want to change the feel TOO much. Also - should there be more 'cake' decoration. By that, i mean visual effects or something? I personally don't like the 'wow' factor of beam weapons and over done visuals causing massive splash of colours when your gun hits something else ( no names mentioned) as its just overload for the senses - and is highly annoying (+ my visual cards cannot handle it).
Anything else? Slowly wading through minor bugs here (it keeps me out of mischief)
maybe i should make it that activating my Open SP versions locks the manchester system away if that is causing crashes - LOL

Reason for crashes, the other end exists in NY, but has been disabled in the ini files. LOL Whoooppss - that was just sloppy! If you find ANYTHING saying TEMP in the name of it, note where it was, and then steer clear, as that = crashola. Same for any jumpholes to NY from the new systems - they are the same thing really - and have been pulled out!
