Also, i was wondering about collision factors on battleships, on many occassions i have been engaging numerous small fighters and they have bumped in to me, then my battleship would move drastically because of this, i was wondering if a fix for this was possible?

ooo I saw something like this in another thread cant remember where

Someone altered I think it was one of the inertial/mass values for the player craft and then rammed a planet. The planet was in game terms lighter than the fighter and so he pushed it away. The other thing I remember was that you could use that modification on a server and really mess things up.

I am on Mountain standard time, I think I might be on the same time as PST right now.

The server is Reynen's Mod Server (192.168.1.100). I took it down because I am testing stuff currently.

I wasn't aware there was a problem with the TIE fighter, I will take a look at it.

Glad you approve Not sure what is going on with the sounds I hear them just fine. I am not sure where to adjust the volume but I will look.

I wish I could find why you "leap" when a fighter collides with you. I tried uping the mass to 1,000,000 and it still didn't work, so it's not the mass. If anyone else has any ideas please let me know.

I will try adjusting the other values.

I still can't figure out the frusterting tractor problem with the battleships. I may have to just get rid of it unless I can figure out a solution.

about the tractor problem, i can tractor things in fine in the bretonian battleship, and then sell them, but i couldnt in the rhineland cruiser, maybe something to do with the models. One question, should the rhineland battleship have that green gunk to show the engines on like the humpback and valkyrie. Any help u need in beta test just shout.

What I would like to see implemented is an option to change "destructable" bases into "disabled" bases - where you can disable them so no-one can dock and theres no defences up. Now that would be more worth while than destructable bases

You figure out how and I will do it. Can't do everything at once. No doubt if I did you would say what a "crappy" mod this is when someone prevents YOU from entering a base. Griefers get real ticked when they get griefed.

Reynen, that isn't the ip address of your server, it looks more like the kind of IP address a router would assign. The ip of your server is 12. something or other, I know because I remember seeing an ip address starting with 12. when I saw your server in the list. If you go to www.ipchicken.com it should tell you your actual address.

i think what fire means is that your mod, although being excellent isnt really i viable option for GSP's atm, maybe in the lite version you could not include the base destruction if not then dont worry, its just a suggestion

I didn't say your mod was crappy, I said it as a statement that GSP, such as Wireplay, wont implement such a mod for fl with destructable bases :/ I didn't mean to cause offense

You can check your IP in the game just start your server, then go into freelancer and multi and find your server and it will have the ip in one of the boxes.

Is it just me, or is the global server not working for anyone else? It just keeps saying it's trying to connect. Usually when this happens it fixes itself sooner or later but it's been a few hours already.

Oh, and Bob, my solution to finding the ip address takes a lot less time and effort :\ Besides, when you're behind a router the game will show your inside IP address, not the outside. You need to tell people your outside IP address in order for them to be able to connect.

Must be you, i can easily connect to the global server and see other servers to play on.

But then again only one out of the like 10 servers i played on show up....

I need a reynen mod server to play on .... must train on reynens server to get ready for the mass PVP action tonight

my way to check ip address would be to just do a whois on myself in irc . i would host a reynen server but im in the UK and im only on 512k adsl . As for the master server, seems as if its buggared, we were trying to play on our community server ealier and people kept on getting connection error msgs, maybe its being upgraded, or maybe its just shafted
