Updated Server Announcement!!!


We've recently changed our server and are inviting new players to join our community... high Roleplay factor, 1 mil starting capital, new players can see all maps, buyable systems, CSV's Transports, BS's.. hmm, I use a router, and mine does it no problem, OH!! I know why, try routing the correct port to your machine, that should do it.

Hello new server starting:-)

It's a moded server with a few of em, when I can get TNG to run stable I will be using it. The connection is 512

The I.P is 169.254.60.218 standerd port number.
Any help in staberlising TNG would be very helpfull.

i would like to put my server on here its a great server. clan gets its own system and 100mill for the start of the clan. we have a web site www.freelanceratomic.tk but u can only go to rank 38 lancer help me out on this please. u start with a nice and easy 5mill maybe 10mill and its running evolutions 1.28 version. we also use ioncross so it helps. we are looking for server police and just members so PLEASE join i made it a 24/7 server so its going to be on for a while thanks.

p.s lancer please help me on that 38 rank is the max rank i can get to.

That's all well and good, but I have been considering starting up my own server. Where does one go to find the information they need to start one, and other useful information on running one?

For example, I have only one PC, and that is what I use to play FL, both SP and (just recently) MP. Do I need to set up a dedicated machine for the FL Server? or can I run the server and take part in the game on the same machine?

I tried to find the answer in the forums but I must have missed any discussion on the subject.

Rules for Factions TAGS & Ships
The way that Factions & TAGS work on this server is:

ALL Start as civilian and use a any of the Civilian ships. No TAG is needed. (Untagged players are CIV)
To join a faction create a character with once of the appropriate TAGS on the Factions Page.
You will have the reputation of a Civilian until the admin changes your reputation.
Reputation changes occur ONCE per day. If it has been longer email [email protected]
You may be a member of ONE faction only (you may create more than one character)
Special items can be purchased by dealing with someone who is 100% with the faction. (this promotes interaction)
Factions are LOCKED in place for characters.
Random Encounters do NOT effect REP
Mission do NOT effect REP
Bribe System has been disabled (use job boards for missions)
Once per day the server admin will MAX Reputations for new characters.
You must use the specified ships that are listed for each faction.


STATEMENT: In this server the closest thing to a "freelancer" is Civilian. This is locked in Role Play. If you want to freelance you would most likely be more happy in another server. We are working hard to get things going.

IDEAS:

Ship Balancing & Realism (mostly with very large capitol ships)
Battle Reporting
The ability to report scheduled battles
Territorial Conquest Campaign Event
most likely a patch that will be released once a month modifying territory factions

We have some rules:

1. No spawn killing
2. No offensive our "foul" names
3. Keep the cursing to a minimum
4. No killing outside Manhattan
5. Stick to your RPG title
6. No MODs other than the server mod, downloadable from http://www.OBFS.tk
7. Server Maintenance is between 1:00PM and 4:00PM EST
8. Clans that want their own base must have at least 5 members.

New players must use their corresponding tags:

[police you can use any police or ploice friendly base and must attack any offender of the law
[Hunter you can dock at any hunter or ally of the hunters base and can only take missions from hunter base
[Trader means you will only be running trade routes (pirate or legit, doesnt matter)
[*pirate faction* put a name of a pirate faction between the brackets. means you are part of the specified pirate faction and you may use that factions base or any base friendly to them. You may only accept the factions missions.
[Pirate means you are a pirate in general. a killer for hire omongst the corrupt. You may land on any pirate base and take any of their missions.

listen and obey all players with the tag [Admin. If you impersonate a server admin and are caught, you will be fined all of your credits, be hostile to all, and sent to leiden base.
Most punishments will be fines and or rep changes.
