we are runing a couple of server side mod and have a list of optional client side mods. we even have a mod in the works specialized to the server. our policy is that we will not require any mods, it will all be optional, so you can make the game as vinnela as you want. we have also taken steps to help keep the server fair and prevent bullying. it is why i decided to create the server in the first place, i was tired of being stepped on.

The Liberty Defense Inititaive Server is now up and running regretfully its not a 24/7 server as of yet but we still have a LOT to offer new players with tournaments, races we are taking freelancers,traders, pilots, Clans all are welcome. New server opening - Discovery Freelancer with a custom Discovery mod (cheating and using any other mods is not allowed). Player limit is 36 right now but we might be able to handle more in future.

The goal of our mod is to retain the atmosphere and balance of original game and add several nice features to make gameplay more interesting - capital ship encounters, enhanced NPC AI, almost all original Freelancer ships flyable (capships, transports, etc.), rebalanced ship prices and more.
