The Summer of '03 will always be for me the Summer of Elite.

I just hope that Elite can come back someday as an FL 2 server.

Thanks for providing the server this long though. Well I retired my deputy on planet curacao, so there wont be any more patrols for me.

As the owner/operator of Elite, I'd like to write that it has been a long, fun, and sometimes trying adventure, but well worth every moment.

Thanks again to all the players (okay most), and great support group for a great experience. Many thanks to the TLR staff, who have helped promote and support the server throughout its lifetime.

When there is an FL 2, you can be sure that I will be hosting a server once again.

Play fair, don't cheat, and have fun... see you soon.

Guys we had some good times, sorry to see it will have to come to an end. I will get some final playing time in soon, after Elite is gone I will probably move entirlely into HW2.

Well thank you Stinger nonetheless. It was one heck of a ride but everything has to end, sometime. In most things my server is trying to emulate Elite and evolving from there. That is my ongoing compliment to Elite...

It's a shame that I came across freelancer to late to fully enjoy the elite server, the few hours I was on elite, (100 or so), will be remembered as some of the best hours of freelancing.

Here I started playing MP Freelancer, here joined to The xXx clan and meet our friends NEO. What is the MP Freelancer without clans, Allies, wars, enemies, kos lists, pirates, baned cheaters, traders, freelancers and call yourself whatever you want? Nothing else then a simply, boring SP Freelancer without story line.

Well, eventually all good things must come to an end... same wit Quake, TF and TFC. nothing lasts forever, But i can say there shoudl be a freelancer 2 on teh horizon if DA and M$ decide so.

also note this. freelancer will be played as long as there is atleast 1 server up and running.

I even see some old TF servers in gamespy (team fortress has been a quake 1 mod from 1996)

So don't let it get u down.

maybe i missed some important news but what has lead the to closing of the server? Anyways i didnt play a hella of alot there but it was an overall stable and good server.
