24/7 Seattle Based Lag discussion

Here SysOps can list their MultiPlayer server info and users can send feedback to their SysOps. Or just talk about the MultiPlayer servers they play on. This is not about MultiPlayer in general - please use the MultiPlayer Forum for that!

I do not play on Seattle - so I have nothing to contribute here, admittedly. Obsideo was kind enough to admit that he was wrong, and so I must admit that I also owe him apologies for speaking harshly.

My motivation was simply that I hate thread hijackers - I do not enjoy flame wars. I was thinking about other people who actually have something to contribute to the thread but are put off because of this flaming the both of you are doing.
And don't tell me to mind my own business - if you had wanted to keep it private, you would've done it via Genedefect's email or phone. Everything you put in a public-frequented forum is that community's business, so stop contradicting yourself. And don't give me that crap that your emails don't get replied - that's your problem. When you made it the community's knowledge, the community will participate - as long as it does not break the ground rules. I do sympathize with Genedefect, if you must ask. But I'm not here to change your mind about him or to impede your free speech. All I'm saying is that you should get your own thread. Obsideo managed to fathom that concept, it is clear that you are incapable of such thing.

Fear Factor,
Do you have a thread devoted views on Thread Hijackers? Not just being sarcastic. It probably is a good idea. It would help people realize that thread hijacking is not good.

Your logic is appalling. By your argument: rain is caused by the opening of the umbrella. I stop thread-hijacking when one occurs - I do NOT stop the thread-hijacking when NONE occurs. I hope this is not too hard for you.

I'll not reply to this thread anymore - it only feeds you ammo for your word-twisting and deteriorates the thread even further. Start your own "Flame Fear Factor" thread in the Off Topic forum if you will, I'll see you there. I won't start one since I have no grief with you outside this thread. But if you want one, bring it on.

I guess it was a bad idea. I know that I change what I do, when I am made aware of the problems caused by my actions. I was just thinking that, if the concept of thread hijacking being non-productive, was advertised better, it would help get the picture out better. I am going to create a anti-thread-hijacking thread now. Like I said, I wasn't just being sarcastic. If I am still not getting it, let me know in the thread-hijacking thread.

Hey - I just wanted to say - Fear Factor, I believe that Regulator is legitamately trying to work with you on this. Calm down a bit.

Also - Apologies (i did not give them earlier) to Genedefect for the way I spoke earlier in this thread - I was angry and frustrated and normally try not to speak like that. The points I made, I meant, but I made some of them abrasively.

That's it.

I did calm down a bit. But if only you'd seen what he posted originally.... *cough edited afterwards cough*. Whether he was really sorry, or just trying to make me look like an intolerant ass with the mighty-supersecret-edit post trick, I can't really say. I was willing to let it go, this thread was sinking anyway, but since you brought it up...

Cheers.

Yes I edited it out. I was irritated with your disrespectful tone, but I settled down and felt bad about it. So, I took it out. If you look at the time, I took it out the just before or at the same time that you posted your reply. I hoped to take it out before you saw it and it was not intended as a trick.

[Edit I am trying to work with you. I think your efforts are for a good purpose. Most of us are giulty of messing up threads now and then. Ofcourse, it isn't intentional. Regardless, it still messes up the thread.
--I apoligize for the edited out comment.

The anti-thread hijacking thread got hijacked so I deleted it. I will just work on my own to help out.
