Name: Hahukum Konn
Alias: None
Age: 28
Ship: Crusader (might have my guy buy a Hammerhead later though )

Appearance: Average build, with blond hair and blue eyes. Occasionally wears old-fashioned corrective lenses more for effect than anything else, since his eyesight isn't -quite- that bad.

Bio: Konn was born in Liberty, on Manhattan. After he got out of high school, he bounced around a couple of colleges and technical schools, picking up some physics and engineering, but got bored with the whole idea, and decided to pull a five-year stint in the Bretonian Armed Forces. That's how he got his Crusader, even though he had to forfeit several months' pay to cover the cost of the ship.

Since then, he's been doing odd jobs on the side for the Bretonian, Rheinland and Liberty Houses, as well as running commodites from here to there to pick up some credits.

While Konn isn't a daredevil, and likes to remain a small-time kind of guy, he'll go into the border worlds if there's money to be made, and there's enough of that with the Diamonds in Omega-11 and the Niobium in Tau-37. But right now, he's gone off the usual tracks and has been puttering around the Sigma systems because he heard H-fuel could make for a profitable commodity, and it's a helluva lot less likely to attract attention from thieving Junkers.

"Moves extremely fast like Dev does, But is not as ruthless"

"Leion Xing pulled down the mans pants and with a knife, cut off the family jewels"

When I read those two lines and Leion's post, I'm concerned about a couple of things. One is logic. It seems that Leion is an incredibly ruthless person and more ruthless than Dev. According to the way he left it, probably a murderer too as his handcuffed victim would bleed to death in seconds.

Secondly, violence is a necessity in Sirius. In fact, the Freelancer game is essentially a kill-fest! But I'm worried that promoting gratuitous violence where the character's enjoy the killing is just plain wrong, but I don't want to discourage this kind of 'exploration' either. I suppose my main concern, is that the RPG becomes a "Character_A slays a huge number of goons with no fear of reprisal or consequence, then moves onto the next batch," type of story. I could log on Freelancer if I wanted that lol

Thirdly and finally, our character's details need to be factually correct and we 'should' try to make efforts with continuity (unless introducing a new character or plot device), punctuation, grammar, spelling.
I'm not sure if my thoughts stand alone, and I certainly don't want to spoil the fun , but I can't think of saying the above in any other constructive way.

Maybe a short summary like "I'm unsure if that post fits the essence of the RPG so far?" would do it better?

My main concern is that if people introduce major new developments without them being natural outgrowths of the premises of Freelancer or Athena's fanfic on which the CYOF RPG is based, then it makes the whole thing harder to keep going in a consistent manner.

eg. the recent announcement of a build-up in Rheinland and someone else saying anti-war protesters are in Bretonia.

PS. Athena, you did say you would be the final word on plot points and things like that so perhaps if we have a ruling from you?

I wasn't talking about anti-war protesters in Bretonia , I said literally that yesterday there were anti-war protests in Trafalgar square, among the lions. Gigantic sign saying "{BRING THE TROOPS HOME".(it was a random thought.)

oops.

Mea culpa, then.

Post Fri Mar 18, 2005 2:09 pm

Oh peeps, you might wanna post your msn cus its a easy way to discuss things OOC if you want instant responses or something not worht a post, anyhow mine is ever so cleverly [email protected]

Post Fri Mar 18, 2005 4:04 pm

Well, DSQ, you and Wilde already have mine, but for those of you who don't and may want it, it's [email protected]

Drop me a line. Or don't. Either way works for me.

One thing I'd like to know is if any of you mind my obscenely long posts. I try to deal with them by tossing the summaries in, but if enough people tell me to cut them back a bit, I'll try my hardest to aviod my tendency to ramble on and on and on and on and on and... you get the idea.

Ok I see this point. I will try to make it a little less X rated and try to find the line of ruthlessness. SOOOOOOOOO Sorry if this offended some readers. Just trying to start with a bang.

*Hangs head in shame*

How every I don't think that the Drunk man would have died. He was in a bar full of a people and someone was most likely to come to his aid.

And Leion trys to punish people by imbarsing people not killing them like Dev does. And what happened to the man is very embarrissing fo a man. I'm not critersizing here but Dev kills a man after he has given up and saids he has a Family.

Ether way I see people think I when to far with that so I will tone it down a bit.
