Tryiun, Wilde: that sounds fair lol consider it a reminder should you two face off again you would be killing each other's economic base.

@ Tryiun: no I'm sorry I wouldn't be interested in selling off the entire California system like that. I have 4 other Fighter shipyards in the system along with a planet and two stations. Plus I'd lose one of my chokepoints should war come to the Liberty Core worlds. The only thing that would make my even think of doing that would be the exchange of Sigma-13 plus the funds and resources to replace the four F-Shipyards I would lose.

@ All: Liberty Blockade forces are being redistributed next turn. this next turn (tomorrow) will be considered the 1 turn of peace. once the turn is over I will post the next day's turn. Which will show the majority of Liberty naval forces withdrawling to Bering, Sigma-19 and the Liberty Core Worlds.

To the Corsairs: I am harvesting commodities in a former Samura-controlled system, and I never fought with Samura. You, on the other hand, have fought with me in the past and would do it again. I see no reason why I should let you harvest commodities from Rhineland controlled systems.

(OOC: Damn. Good point about Sigma 13...)

About Sigma 13, my soldiers died to bring that base to the hands of Rhineland power. You, on the other hand, inherited your bases from a man who built them in my systems. I request that you move out.

Rhineland's turn for today

1. I place 2 gunboats in New Berlin, 2 in Stuttgart, and 1 in Frankfurt

2. Rhineland buys 50 LF wings.
Unresolved researches:
a) LF FA x4
b) LF FD x5
c) LF CA x3
d) LF CD x11

Unresolved exploration x4

3. n/a

4. n/a

5. Collecting 325 credits, plus...2200=2525
commodities: 400 M/ 459 H-F/ 147 0/ 259 F/ 226 W
Ships:
New Berlin: 1 battleship, 2 cruisers, 5 gunboats, 7 VHF wings, 10 HF wings, 20 LF wings
Stuttgart: 1 battleship, 2 cruisers, 3 gunboats, 7 VHF wings, 7 LF wings, 15 LF wings
Frankfurt: 5 LF wings
Dresden: 1 LF wing
Hamburg: 1 LF wing

@ Rheinland: Those bases I allowed in, I'm following the Liberty deal, Samura pouched off our forces and resources now were doing theres. Deal with it, any further communication along this venue will be forwarded immediatly to a polka expert or something....

Also I hope your aware, only 5 research points total can go to a vessel AC, buying that much could be kind of pointless.

To Liberty: Thank you. Kusari will uphold its end of the temporary cease fire and hopefully Rheiland will do the same.

Turn 29

This turn I will:

A. Place 1 Fighter shipyard in the Kyushu system, 1 gunboat, 1 cruiser, and one battleship in Sigma 13.

B. Purchase 1 large base, 9 VHF wings and 1 cruiser.

C. I will add the cruiser and battleship to battlegroup B and the gunboat to battlegroup A. Battlegroup B moves to Sigma 13 to relieve the outgoing Liberty blockade forces.

D. Free Water!!! Kusari is offering free water to any friendly faction!. I an official government statement today the Kusari spokesman was quoted as saying

" The Kusari government has classified the substance Bioxide, also konwn as water, to be a nusiance and has begun programs for immidiate removal. While generally harmless there have been reports of citizens bathing and cleaning with it. We have even had scattered reports of intentional ingestion by some as a new fad diet. While our scientists have not yet discovered any immediate health risks we recommend that anyone currently in possesion of this substance immedeately discontinue its use and deposit it in a designated government storage facility where trained hazmat crews will secure and transport it to a storage facility. Should further research prove no longterm health effect from water the Goverment will return it to you for a small $2.50 per oz handling and bottling fee. Thank you."

I seriously am awash (no pun intended) in the stuff. any faction who wants it, send ships and its yours.

Turn:

Building:
5 Large Bases
Researching:
+5 CA for the HF
Pending Research:
+2 FA for VHF
1 System Exploration

I'll post the rest of my turn later.

Post Fri Dec 03, 2004 7:18 am

ooc: you can't research any shipstat higher than 9. and I believe you only get 5 research total. So wilde should have reached his research limit long ago and Triyun is at or near his.

Post Fri Dec 03, 2004 9:02 am

My VHF is two away if the two I am reaching now are successful, 1 away, my LF fighter is two away as well. This is my first HF research.

Hispania Announcement: Hispania is announcing our proposal to all the houses to end the era of war and enter into an era of economic prosperity. We propose all nations cap military spending at 50% per turn and instead invest towards economic expansionism. We also propose the formation of the Siruis Economic Alliance which pledges to only do business with groups inside this pact. To offset others from taking advantage of members in this pact, all members will come to anothers defense if attacked by non-pact members. We feel that arms control and economic prosperity are the best combination to offset any future wars. The economic leadership of especially Hispania and Bretonia ( I believe I now have the second largest economy with Samura and Zoners factored in) can restrain the other powers from war and usher in more prosperity.

Wow, I leave for a week and the whole place has gone straight to hell.

Out of Character:
@ Cardamine, if ya want to play as the Bundshlu (or whatever) then just ask and i'll give ya Brushcal (damn these long, complicated German names )

@ All: Guess who's back? Back again? etc etc

@ Truyin: calm down dear, it's just a game

In Character:
Turns. I carefully counted up all my resources and turns from the past 5 days I haven't played so:

Income (everything times 5 as i missed 5 turns):
Creds: 475, metal: 340, water 165, oxygen: 130, food: 150, h-fuel: 205
plus remaining from last turn:
15 creds, 188 metal, 178 water, 84 oxy, 100 food, 203 h fuel
comes to:
490 creds, 528 metal, 343 water, 214 oxygen, 250 food, 408 h-fuel.

OK, time to spend spend spend

Terraform: Prenta (minus 300 credits/40 Oxy/40 H2O )
(resources: 190 creds, 528 metal, 303 water, 174 oxygen, 250 food, 408 h-fuel)

Build: 9 VHF wings at Roma (minus: 180 credits/45 Metals/27H-F/9 Oxy)
(Resources: 10 creds, 483 metal, 303 water, 165 oxygen, 250 food, 381 h-fuel)

TO ALL!!! (IMPORTANT)
The Outcasts have decided to sell medicinal Cardamine that will stop people's addictions to the drug. The whole course of treatment is 100 credits per faction.

Remaining resources:
10 creds, 483 metal, 303 water, 165 oxygen, 250 food, 381 h-fuel

End.

OOC: Since the outcasts are active again

@ Freelancer: I demand the surrender of the Hispania sleeper ship and you renouncing claims that rival mine for being the only house Hispania.

Post Fri Dec 03, 2004 2:17 pm

FR turn :28

credits:
350

resources:
33 O/ 123 H-F/ 116 F/ 248 H2O/ 30 M

(2 more turns and I got that , nah, changing plans, building guardian fighter shipyard when I get the material.)

Post Fri Dec 03, 2004 2:36 pm

Rhineland backs the motion of the Outcasts to become House Hispania over the Corsairs. As they have proved with us, they are incapable to hold a government together and their decadent and unruly system has led them to betray numerous treaties.

OOC: Again, Triyun, I do know that you were going to honour the treaty, but I'm acting the part of a guy who holds a grudge so please don't respond with another blistering post.

@ TRFL: What about the Alliance I proposed? Interested?

@ Cardamine: Do the right thing. Just as Bretonia would have destroyed the Gaians when they became active, so will I destroy the Bundschu if you attack me. Ally with me, and we shall bring you to prosperity, safety, and glory.

Edit: @ Triyun: I'm allowing for a reasonable margin of error. I have 5 more points before that category is maxed out, so I have a margin of 6 failures, and considering what my luck has been so far it's probably a good thing.

@ AC.
Sure, why not? About time I took sides,

@ Truyin
Well, there are two possible outcomes:
1. I surrender the sleeper ship, you come and take it and blow me to hell.
2. I DON'T surrender the sleeper ship, you TRY to blow the hell outta me, I DESTROY the sleeper ship meaning that the big fight was a waste of time. At this point, you have incurred the wrath of Rheinland and they come charging to the rescue (I hope ). The insuing fight you lose, my hidden forces begin the long, tiring road to rebuilding. You lose many ships and gain nothing. I lose many ships and have to rebuild. Square one again neh?

@ Outcasts: Which Hispania has enough forces to beat Rheinland alone thanks to Bretonia and Liberty taking the teeth out of them, however, when Rheinland attacks, they would have to go through a Kusari taskforce in Sigma 13 as part of our alliance with Kusari. If they engage that taskforce that activates Kusari's alliance with Liberty and Rheinland has no chance to defeat three major powers at once. Hand over Hispania and we will forgo this crisis we leave what ever you have left to rot. At the very least I get Omicron Beta, at the very worst Rheinland and the Outcasts get wiped clean off the map.

@ Rheinland: What a surprise.

Yup. Don't even think about attacking the Outcasts. Might I remind you now that we will continue to operate bases in our systems only out of the pure pity of our hearts. They can always be shut down.

To the Outcasts: Will you let us build a base in one of your more vulnerable systems in order to help us honour the alliance put forth?

Edit: Dude, I'm not stupid. I'm not going to move into Kusari territory once again, we all know where that leads. How about you let the Outcasts keep what they have retrieved?

And about the "taking the teeth" comment...you just keep on thinking that. Just keep on thinking it.

What systems do the Outcasts control closest to the Corsairs?
