Only have a beef with a few things
1 Researchable bombers, no researchable capital ships , if you have a capital ship (bought or stolen)
You should be able to get designs of the ship by stationing it at a base and have it not participate in battle for 5 turns, if so you get designs for
X (faction name)'s ships of that class only.
Resource Changes, Kusari got the short end of the Metal rod here, need say more?
It does encourage trading though.
Kusari has only 1 metal-producing system.
Otherwise, I'm fine with the price and balance changes to lessen massive calculators
"I like liberty rogues, they make a funny little popping sound when they die"
10 points to whoever guess what I messed with for that

Ok the rules are fine by me
Does this mean we need a new calculator?
hey have you guys seen the new TLR teamspeak?
mabye we could actually talk to each other it would make the negotiations a little easier. You don't have to its just an idea after all
I was just looking through the first CYOFRPG and i remembered how much fun it was lets hope 3.0 can match that.
Oh and tanks for the award jacob i must have missed that before

@Wilde- No, I won't. We will not be using the 3.0 rules until the next game.
@Omega Chief- No problem. You deserved it in the last game. I will check out teamspeak, except I dont have a mic on my internet computer. I might be able to fix that, though. Also, MSN has a audio conversation option, which might be better than Teamspeak. And yes, we will need a new calc.
@Deathspike- I only want there to be house capital ships in the game. I want it to be hard for other factions to get one, like it was in the game. I put the resource changes in to encourage trade. Besides, it's not that bad. Remember, that the resources go up because of the number of bases you have in each system.
@VD- I forgot about that. I'll add it in.
@Chessala- I was considering that, but I think VD's idea of no capital ships in jump holes was about as good. Coupled with the secrecy, it works good for pirates anyway.
@roc- Hmmm... I'll have to think about that. If anyone has a good idea about how to implement this, please bring it up.
Thanks for all the good comments!

I just find it cheap that bombers are researchable, while capital ships are not.
Also ADD more UPGRADES to ships, like for capships, add a shield generator "Option" to add an extra hit to kill
like to upgrade speed quotient, add "advanced engines"
Also, make bombers be able to only do 1 round of combat and then fly away back to the home system.
Useful for pirates.
For pirates, add a new ship class called a minelayer, need I say what it does?
I'm just saying, if anybody gets such a short end of th stick that they need to trade not to strengthen their wallets but to survive, is bad.
When you die and go to heaven, you will find the streets are guarded by UNITED STATES MARINES!!

I think you should be able to research ship designs. Like Bretonia researching Rheinland battleship designs. I also think that they should be availible to you if you capture a shipyard:
Say Samura(Long live Samura) goes and attacks a Rheinland capital shipyard. If they attack is successful and you capture the shipyard, i think you would be able to pick one capital ship design and be able to build that ship. Same goes for fighters. This help everyone, especialy groups that can only build fighters, as they would be able to custimize there fleet that they could build.
Just an idea
I like the rules a bunch. Especialy the stealing ships rule that i propsed!!!
Most people fear the unknown.
Most people haven't met me.

i think it would be nice if we could renovate stations like ithaca and bedford(may have to find it first)because some of us smaller factions/pirates won't have alot of resources, another idea i have is being able to build miners that don't act as stations but just give you raw materials, another thing that might be possible is to maybe have xploration parties find wrecks for resources/codenames that can be reverse engineered to increase the attack stats of ONE type of ship.i know that you aren't particularly fond of codenames but if the right faction finds it it could drastically change alliances/enemies etc. kind of like a wild card. The only reason i brought up the renovating station thing is because there area a few wrecked/bad off bases that it would be useful to be able to use, BTW what about the NY magellan gate, is it usable so that magellan and NY are connected, because that could be really useful to us pirates
