Been a little while coming. Enjoy, for today i have given birth to Chapter 6.
Chapter 6 – Close Encounters
“Colonel Trent, Colonel Zane, you are cleared for launch. Good luck out there”
Trent and Juni cleared the Osiris. And were followed shortly after by the others.
“Trent, the first waypoint is sector 6c. Its furthest from the Osiris so we’ll work our way back”
“Good plan” replied Trent. “Lets go”
The flight to the first jump hole was a treacherous one. Trent and Juni were lucky to have made it through a huge asteroid field followed by a methane field. However, the veteran pilots made it safely to the co-ordinates.
“Ok Juni, we’re here hurry up. I have a real bad feeling about this”
“Its strange, the jump hole is phase aligned but I can’t get any readings on where it leads. Where ever it goes, we haven’t been there yet.”
“That’s great Juni can we go to the next one now?”
“Ok Trent. Don’t worry, I’m not far!”
Trent and Juni continued their scans until they reached the last jump hole.
“Let me guess, phase aligned no readings on where it goes”
Trent could hear Juni sigh. She had been hoping for a little action.
“Come on Tre……”
“Trent, Juni t..s.is.K.ng…W..h.v..c..e……….att…n…d….im…id…..t….a..is…….ce!!”
Trent could make out the panic in Kings voice.
“Damn it Juni, we gotta help them. Their only 10k away from our location”
“But Trent, what about our orders?”
“You know as well as I do neither of us are going back to the Osiris”
Trent and Juni hit cruise speed.
“Oh my god” gasped Trent
Space was filled with over two dozen interceptors and five Nomad battleships.
Kings ship was on fire and didn’t look as if it was going to last much longer. Von Claussen’s shields were taking a beating from the Nomad attack.
Trent and Juni engaged the closest Interceptor.
Trent got on his comm.
“Lord Hakkera, this is Trent, we need immediate assistance, we are under heavy Nomad fire, repeat, we are under heavy fire”
“We are on our way” replied Lord Hakkera.
“Trent, there are too many of them. We have to get out of here!” Shouted Juni over the comms channel.
“Lord Hakkera and Cobo are on their way. We can’t out run them, we have to fight”
Trent tore apart an Interceptor with his Death Hands.
“Juni, I have Hakkera and Cobo on my scanner. Their closing in fast”
“I heard you needed some help” said Hakkera. “Engaging Nomad fighters”
With their Blood Dragon training, Lord Hakkera and Cobo managed to destroy a further 4 interceptors with their excellent shooting.
Suddenly the Jump hole King and Von Claussen had been studying came to life and 20 more interceptors and a Nomad Gunboat filed through.
“Trent we have to go now!” Shouted Juni.
“Lord Hakkera, Cobo, escort Juni, King, and Von Claussen back to the Osiris, I will hold them off while you make your retreat.”
“No Trent, that’s suicide” replied Juni
“Go! I’ll meet you back on the Osiris. Don’t worry I’ll be fine”
“Be careful Trent” said Hakkera. “Everyone, enter formation, we’re heading for the Osiris”
The hit cruise speed and made their way back to the Osiris while Trent dodged and weaved the Nomad fire. His plan had worked.
“Trent, we are near the Osiris, disengage and return home” said Lord Hakkera over the comms.
“On my way” replied Trent.
Trent powered up his Cruise engines when he felt a huge knock that shook his ship and disabled his engines and weapons.
“Hakkera, I’m in trouble. My weapons and engines are down and need immediate assistance!”
Trent got no response. Something was jamming his communications.
Suddenly Trent’s scanners picked up a massive energy surge directly behind him.
“What the…!?” Trent said to himself.
A Nomad Interceptor was heading straight at him firing frantically disabling his shields and gradually eating away at the modified armour on his Anubis. It dawned on Trent that he was not going to be making it back to the Osiris.
As the Interceptor was almost on top of him a huge blue pulse emanated from behind him and vaporised the ship. What ever was behind Trent was now firing back at the Nomads with ferocious aggression. It fired off countless shots and quickly destroyed 2 of the Nomad battleships. The remaining Nomad vessels retreated back through the jump hole.
There was another knock on Trent’s ship as he was pulled backwards to whatever was behind him.

Thanks again for all the good comments. Chapter 7 follows. I haven't even started work on 8 yet but i should have it complete by midweek. Short one this. Enjoy.
Chapter 7 – The Debrief
“Lord Hakkera, this is the Osiris, you may proceed to dock 1”
Lord Hakkera was the last to dock with the Osiris.
Everyone had made it back safely apart from Trent. On the deck of the Osiris, Orillion was waiting for them.
“Report” shouted Orillion
“There were Nomads sir. Over 30 of them. We responded to Kings distress call” replied Juni
“Your orders were to return to the Osiris at any sign of trouble. Whilst what you and Lord Hakkera did was honourable, we could have lost all of you” said Orillion.
“Any signs of Trent” asked Von Claussen.
“No reports. We had him on long range scans but his ship has disappeared” replied Orillion.
“Dead?” asked Juni with a slight quiver in her voice.
“Unknown” replied Orillion. “If the Nomads were as numerous as you say, it is unlikely Colonel Trent survived. Seconds before he left our scanners, we picked up a massive energy surge right by his ship. We assume it was destroyed. He may have used an escape pod but until we can assess the Nomad threat in the area, we will not be sending a rescue team.”
“But Trent is one of the best Order pilots. If he is out there, we can’t just leave him there!” shouted Juni.
“I understand your concerns colonel. But I cannot risk the lives of anymore pilots” replied Orillion.
“Yes sir!” Juni responded.
“Get yourselves settled. I want you all to bring the data you found about the jump holes to engineering in 5 minutes”
Orillion left the docking bay.
“Well I can’t just wait around here for something to happen. I’m going to find Trent” said Juni.
“What about Orillion?” replied King
“If Trent is out there, then I’m not staying here”
King knew that Juni was going to go so he didn’t try persuading her to stay.
“Be careful Juni” said Lord Hakkera. “I will take care of things with Orillion”
“Thank you Lord Hakkera”
Lord Hakkera nodded with a half hearted approval. If Trent was alive, he knew Juni wasn’t coming back until she found him.

Ok. After a very tiresome day at work, hallucinating due to the heat in my office, i started day dreaming. Like a flash of light, chapter 8 came before me. A vision like non other. So i found a tiny bit of scrap paper and jotted down my ideas before i got a phone call and lost it
Thanks to Lynch and Dextervt for the suggestions.
No ETA on 9 at the moment. Hasn't even hit drawing board stage.
Hope you all enjoy my brain child. May i present, Chapter 8.
Chapter 8 – The Awakening
Trent’s ship came to a halt inside the alien structure. The pulsating green florescent glow in the room was giving Trent a headache.
He flicked a switch to open up his cockpit, grabbed his LSF issue L-14 “Brainbuster” Magnum and made his way down out of his ship.
“What is this place?” Trent said to himself.
The room appeared to be a huge docking bay. Trent’s Anubis was the only ship invited to the party.
Trent had a look around to see if he could find a way out of the docking bay. He made his way over to what appeared to be a huge door standing no less than 15 feet high. The door opened automatically as he got closer.
“Huh. Were is everybody?” Trent thought to himself.
Trent walked down the newly revealed corridor. The entire structure was massive and the same green glow was all around him. He had never seen anything like it.
As he wandered further and further down the corridor he found himself standing in front of another huge door.
He readied his weapon as he triggered the automatic door.
The shear sight of what was before Trent’s eyes made him step back.
He could make out, what appeared to be thousands of stasis chambers. Each of which were standing at least 10 feet high.
“My god” said Trent, startled by what he had stumbled upon.
He re entered the room and made his way to a strange platform in front of him. The plate then lowered itself to the ground floor of the stasis chamber. He made his way over to the closest pod.
The pod was covered in a thick layer of dust. What ever was behind it, it hadn’t moved in a long time.
Trent wiped away the dust on the first chamber. Nothing. Darkness.
If something was in the black, Trent knew he might be safe. But not knowing if something was in there, his heart started to race.
He checked the next few pods down the line. All of them filled with the same darkness.
The feeling of dread that had overcome Trent intensified. The silence in the room made him fell even uneasier.
Not knowing if the inhabitants of the structure were still on board, Trent made his way back to the levitating plate.
As he stepped on it, the lights in the room went out.
“Uh oh” said Trent. “This can’t be good”
The plate wasn’t responding.
The lights then came back up
Suddenly, the entire structure shook as if it was just waking. The sheer force knocked the dust off of the stasis chambers.
Trent feared the worst.
Out of the corner of his eye, Trent could see each stasis chamber light up one by one.
The first tank started to fill up with a red liquid. The pods were coming alive.
Knowing that he couldn’t get back the way he came, Trent ran straight ahead to find a way out.
The room was vast and he felt as though he was running out of time. Frantically looking for a way out something caught Trent’s eye that made him stop.
In front of him was a gold coloured chamber, with strange writing above it.
The red liquid had now filled up in all of the chambers apart from the one Trent was looking at. The writing above it started glowing blue.
Trent turned to run when he heard the pod behind him open. He froze. Unable to run forward through fear, he turned his head.
As he turned his head sideways to peer over his shoulder, a huge hand grasped Trent’s head and forced him unconscious.
