sorry for my lack of posts/models lately life has been hell what can i say
as much as i hate to say it this will be my final model until things get settled any and all suggestions are welcome i'll make a note of them and make changes as time permits.link
for once one of my models has more than a few days work in it , if someone wants the file to work with just email me i'll send it to you, address is in the profile just give me credit if you submit it to the reactor thats all i ask. it's supposed to be frieghter. personally i think i've made better but thats just me.

Ive just made a model, Ill say it one more time MODEL ONLY of the Trade Federation Battle Station. I still need to apply texture and resize it.

I have a problem with my model that when I put it in the game, theres no texture. It was black.

Here are some pics of the Argon Centaur Light Cruiser which I am converting to FL.
She's just barely ingame, I still need to tweak her scale and buff up the textures a bit as some of them aren't square and FL is having a coniption fit about it. Also I'm getting weirdness from photoshop, if anyone has any ideas why I'd be grateful. When I export tga's as DDS both tga's appear to have the same chromancy and I export them with the exact same settings but once they are in DDS format one will be lighter than the other. Additionally when I open a dds in PS it is lighter tahn it should be and when I save it it becomes lighter still, if I repeatedly edit a dds file it will become completely washed out. If anyone has any clue how to correct these issues I'd be eternally grateful.

Well anyway here are the pics, mostly I wanted to show off the awesome lightmapping on this model.

Nice ship korben, the textures look good though I'm not a big fan of orange, the only suggestions I'd make are to lower and pull the overhead intake back a bit, I believe it might look a little more aggressive if it were a bit behind the leading edge of the cockpit.

Other than that i have not suggestions, it looks excellent.

Mosquiton freighter

Finally I finished one. It's based on a mosquito but it's ended up like a deformed fish. The body is transparent and you can see the cargo and the engine inside. It's hard to see but I included an engine reheater, exhaust dampening field, nano weaver, and a tractor beam inside. There's no visible cockpit. I need to work on that.

This is a WIP based on a Rheinland concept ship. Check out the gallery of Lancers Reactor.



It's supposed to be a very light fighter like the Starflier with only 3 guns. I'm a newbie so I started out with the Rheinland concept ships. It's easier for me to learn. I have to reskin and use the official Rheinland skin to save space.

3/22/06: It's like this: material_library = ships\rheinland\rh_playerships.mat

Anyway, the glass is transparent and you can see the pilot in the front view. Light fighter supposed to have only 1 engine. So this concept ship was scrapped off since the original designer drew in two engines. I can redesign it to have 1 engine only but I just leave it as it is for symmetry. I'll add in more small details but I doubt if anyone will notice them.

Bargib, the mod who uploaded those artworks, ask for it and here it is.

A few things have been seen before, but most of the sketches have never been published before. And I would like to challenge the Ship-builders to make some of those ships - I for one would love to fly in them!
