MamiyaOtaru:
The above map was taken from WC News back in June.
I used some screenshots, in conjunction with the map, to build the Gemini Sector.
However, both had discrepancies.
The screenshots omitted the Gemini System, which I vaguely remember being in the game.
(It's a hidden system, not shown on this map.)
In fact, several known systems weren't in the screenshots, and were freelanced, as it were.
And, IIRC, wasn't there a hidden jump in between those systems?
Irregardless, the map is as the mod is.
(Only the Gemini System isn't shown on the map.)
Whoever takes over can change it, if they wish to.

First off, what an amazing mod. I absolutely love it and it brings back so many old memories.

Secondly, as noted above, Warzog will not be doing this mod any more. At the moment, I can not take on any full time development role in any mod's as most of my time is dedicated at the moment to working on Freeworld's 1.66. However, who ever decides to take on the mod (and I sincerely hope someone does), a couple of things for you to note (and I will gladly help out where I can).

A) New Constinople has a few bugs I found (namely Sur File needs resorting and missions end up putting your target base into the middle of the station). I will gladly help sort this problem out for who ever takes over.

As you maybe aware, I built the Midway model. If people want to include this in the mod in future, again, I will hard point and sur file it (probably re-release it onto Lancers Reactor for all the Privateer mods to use).

Anyway, great job Warzog, I can understand people get burnt out from time to time working on these things. You have done a brilliant job with it to date and who ever fills your shoes has some big shoes to fill indeed

The aforementioned Patch, which should be released shortly, will fix the sur problem.
I started getting so many corrupted files that I never got around to addressing the mission problem in that system.

Anywho...
Thanx for the kind words, and for the offer of help to whoever takes over.

Ah, I missed your retirement announcement. Your work on the mod is well appreciated! I can understand how it's tough to keep going at it.. as soon as the project I'm working on is done I'm going on vacation lol

Hi,

I like your mod, but I've seen several disturbing bugs... Infocards related mostly. Clicking the Dart missile launcher, we see the Javelin infocard. Clicking the Javelin, we see some infocard I can't situate. Rumors all have xml coding in them and <RDL/> tags, etc.

I think it's the New Constantinople base is also bugged (station disappearing and there's a bug with the distance. The station is always at 0M... Which prohibits players from 'goto'-ing to it.

Oh, and why do other ships not have maximum class 10 slots? I'm still flying the Tarsus because of it ^^

Anyway, I only have seen 6 systems I think, I'm gonna continue looking around.

Great mod couple of major issues even with the new map try approaching the Palan jumphole in the Tingerhoff system and as you get to about 25km it crashes to desk top.

Keep up the good work, should be great when the mod is completed!!

MamiyaOtaru:
Between my computer corrupting files, and my lack of concentration, (See Xploited Titan/Lucy-fer's post,) I've been run ragged the past year.
I'm 53, and I need less stress, not more, so, I've gotta step aside.

Xploited Titan/Lucy-fer:
Except for the missile infocards, everything you mentioned will be fixed in the patch.

modred:
Thanks for the feedback, didn't know about that bug.

I know the basics of modding, so, the stupid work can be done by me if you want.

Would be a shame to keep this mod in bèta...

Warzog...I found where the problem that was in Perry Navel Base. It turns out that the Base ini file GS48_01_Base under "Rooms" folder did not have a listing for GS48_01_deck2.ini which caused the CTD . when I copied the listing from the Base48_02_Base for the deck2 and changed the designation to 01 ie GS48_01_deck2.ini then the bar was accessible from all other decks with no CTD.

Hope that helps...Please don't give up Its looking REALLY good just don't drive yourself so hard ! limit the time you work on it and take time to do relaxing things..watch a movie, play someone elses mod, play another game

Warzog, Thankyou a whole lot for this mod. I'm sorry to read that you need to back off, I've been at "burnout" before. A break is definitely necessary. The problems with your 'puter sound ugly. What will you need to fix it and is there anything any of us can do to help??

I've been off for a bit and just downloaded the mod a couple of days ago.
Playing great in SP so far, but on my Lan in MP, I'm back in NEW YORK!!!

All I can say is . . .

Things look better than I ever dreamed they would.

Godspeed, Warzog. Your shoes will be tough to fill, but we'll manage somehow.

Hey there,

I haven't checked this mod in quite awhile, but I'm glad to see it comming into fruitation.

Sorry to hear you're so busy and worn out, Warzog. Whoever's heading this up right now I can offer my assistance with .ini files. I know that they are probably the more tedious parts of mods, so if you want my help I extend it to you.

Thanks, and this is such a blast!

hehe, everyone but the Retros like me. Even the Kilrathi and Steltek are friendly.

All I can say is, thanks Warzog for creating one of the best FL mods ever. Thanks also to Bob McDob and all others who participated in this venture.
You did yourselves proud and deserve the thanks of all those who played Privateer back in the 'old days' .

You, most certainly should rest awhile and know that we who can live our memories once more in the Privateer Universe will be forever grateful to you for allowing us that chance.

Thanx all, for the kind words.

My computer has been giving me problems since I got it.
I've solved 90% of them, but for some reason, it corrupts the ini and DLL files at random.
While I was working on the Patch for v4.65, I had 5 files get corrupted during one hour of testing.
(There are so many corrupt file related error messages that I've got several of them memorized.)
I've just gotten to the point where I'm tired of having to fix all the corrupt files every few hours.
The Perry file is a great example.
I've repaired or replaced it dozens of times, but it keeps corrupting, and I don't know why, or how to stop it.
If I only was working on the mod, it wouldn't be so bad.
But trying to make any headway when I have to stop every few hours to fix corrupt files is to much.
Hopefully, someone with a decent computer can make more progress than I can.

Bob McDob's got a zip file I emailed him that has several files I used in setting things up, there's also a copy on our FTP site in the "mod files" folder.
Anyone interested in working on it should contact Bob.

Seems to be a problem in multiplayer, you always start in New York (which is freelancer universe) and as soon as you launch there's a server crash. Any suggestions on how to fix that?
