Warzog:
Thanks for that background on the AI and why all guns and equip get same damage: it' s all one section of a ship.

Plot bug:

I still don't remember the mission number, but when you join formation with Walker's cruiser (or not, instead just going straight to next waypoint) to go to Zone 21 and to the Alaska Jumpgate, right at the entrace to the Zone 21 minefield (the safe side) Walker and the other cruisers and ships stop in place and my next waypoint is right into Manhattan's sun! So I decided to continue to the Alaska Jumpgate and ignore this, Juni and King followed me but Walker and all the other Order ships stayed at the edge of the minefield. Things continued realtively in a normal fashion and we engaged Navy ships guarding the gate. Juni, King, and I killed all the ships (and weapons platforms) off, but my mission objectives still said "Destroy all defending ships". Juni and King floated in place, Walker with the rest of the Order still sat at the edge of Zone 21, and I couldn't dock with the Jumpgate. I was stuck. So I flew into the sun

I was flying a Dagger. (EDIT: it was the Banshee)

Can you fix this? Or will it not matter when Gemini comes out?

Thanks.

I haven't had any serious bugs to fix...
I've redone the commodities...
Just started on a new version of Gemini.
Nothing worthy of a new release right now.
If I get some new ships, or get Gemini working, then I'll release a new one.

Du7andal:
If you're flying a Dagger, you're not running v2.5.
(The Morningstar replaces the Dagger in v2.5)
The Dagger was in v2.3 and v2.4, the ones with all of the bugs.
(And that is the Mission 11 bug from v2.3)

Wow, I was stupid.

I am running v2.5 , but the ship I am flying is the BANSHEE!! I got it confused with the Dagger because they both have the names of original FL light fighters.

So, the bug still stands. Should it have been fixed?

Du7andal:
Yeah, it's been fixed!!!
Check in your Freelancer\Data\Missions\M11 folder.
If you've got 2 copies of M11.ini...
Like M11.ini, and M11.ini.flmmbak, then there's the problem.
If not, check to see if there's an M11.ini in the mod's folder...
(There shouldn't be one.)
You may need to uninstall, reboot, and reinstall Freelancer.

BoH_Havoc:
Just emailed you:
The New Galaxy Textures...
Tarsus.ms3d
and...
The Priv2_Ships.zip
(Couldn't find the Galaxy's ms3d file.)
Sorry.

Just Downloaded the 2 Stations.

Sounds great, Thanx!
I'd thought about asking about it, but I came off as being pushy last time.
Anyway, thanx, again, it was a stale thread, anywho.

Hi all. Couple things I've noticed playing the mod.
1) Picked up the Gladius. Looks good, but the starboard (right) wingtip laser is invisible from the top hemisphere of the craft. Once you move the camera to the ventral side the laser appears. No effect to the game itself, just a minor eyesore.

2) I think this might be a potentially problematic exploit. The ships with triple after burn have an enormous advantage on smuggling and escape. If the pilot engages afterburn, then toggles auto-slide (default z key) they can maintain close to max velocity with only minimal bursts from the after burner, due to a fairly slow velocity bleed. If you get comfortable enough with zipping around at 800+ kps (super suicide afterburners installed on a gladius), you can actually control the ship well enough with controlled bursts to zip through the densest asteroid fields. I wouldn't try that without level 7 shields though . I think the leech missile may have just become obsolete. Also handy in big number furballs. Maybe a faster deceleration in autoslide could balance it out, I don't know.

Sabre29:
All of your points are quite valid.

Players wanted a ship that could fly faster than anything currently in FL.
And could fly at close to Wing Commander/Privateer speeds.
The Gladius is one of many that can.

Players also expressed a hatred of the Cruise Disruptors, which the Leech Missile is.
The Leech Missile is primarily to catch those ships who attack you, and then retreat when they've taken to much damage.

The problem with the gun is a Hardpoint issue, and is currently a very low priority on the "To Do" list.

We realize that many of these things can be annoying, but they add a dimension that would be equally annoying if left out.

Not a biggie War. Have to admit I hate cruise disruptors too. Of course I hate every weapon that I'm on the business end of .

Any idea on when the finished texture for the Galaxy will be out?

That's a sad case.
The guy who made the Galaxy crashed his hdd during a power outage and lost everything.
I've sent him what I had, but I didn't mave the ms3d for the Galaxy.
Until he get's it, we're SOL.
