Would it be cool to consider "mini games" such as the hovis race-track.. maybe someone can come up with something new... just to add a little diversion and depth to the universe.

I just uploaded a "Patch" to the ftp site. Just replace the v1.07 files with the "Patch" files.
It fixes the aforementioned Upgrade bug, and adds some icons.
Unfortunately, the icons are erratic.
When you scroll through the weapon's list of guns, the icons disappear, and reappear.
They also switch amongst themselves.
None of the missile icons work.
The Shield Generator, Afterburner, and Missile Launcher icons seem to be alright.
The Turret icon isn't as irratic as the others.
The Armor and Generator upgrade icons don't work at all.
Some Commodity icons work, some don't.
And they cause a new bug that gives this error message in FLspew.txt:
"NOTICE:General: VMESH: couldnt find material 45147805"
Although there don't appear to be any other new bugs, the icon bug is affecting the gameplay.
When you get to Pittsburg, the 1st time, your engines never shut down as they're supposed to.
Since you did the icons, I figured you could use the update to help in fixing them.
I only changed out about a dozen or so commodity icons, but no names, or data.

Check the update at the top of the page, I already knew about the Banshee.
Just haven't got it yet.
And...
I was planning on putting the Concordia &/or the Paradigm on patrols.
(Just got to get them, and remove a few bugs first.)

I was planning on putting the Concordia &/or the Paradigm on patrols.
Can it include fighter patrols or do they have to be separate entries because of ship type?

And as for not being on the same page, no one sees all the same information at the same time, sorry for bringing it up.

Concordia as a random encvounter? you must be joking. A carrier only travels with a large battlegroup. It is simply too valuable to waste. A player woud never stand a chance against such a force.

Got the Armor and Generator icons working.
Only still have problems with the guns, and missile icons.
Left out the commocities, but some are replaced due to having the same names.

I'd planned on replacing some of the transport/freighter random encounter convoys with the Paradigm &/or Concordia. In that way, they WOULD HAVE fighter escort.

You're right!
The Player probably wouldn't stand a chance.
But it sure would be nice to see them running around!
The way FL is right now, you keep seeing Battleships appearing, and disappearing.
But you only see a few moving around during missions.
Having random encounters, I think, would be interesting.
And by having them replace Transport & Freighter convoys, they would only attack if attacked, first.
Of course, in the Privateer ONLY version, the Paradigm's would be on actual Confed patrols, as they were in Privateer1.

Some furballs for your mod ?

I notice that privateer-the reckoning ist still mostly a ship mod. I would LOVE it to have the kilrathis in here too. While you are going to implement some of their ships, what about building a kilrathi base with some catlike inhabitants ?

I tried some texture modifications for the beginning, maybe they are of some interest for you.

It seems a bit weird that Confed would assign something as valuable as a carrier battlegroup to a backwater like Gemini. There'd need to be some sort of False-Colors-y background about the military buildup in the sector.

I like the first and second ones. The Tiger-head is more Kzinti than Kilrathi.

Hey warzog, did you get the Paradigm mesh?

Yeah, I got the Paradigm.
I haven't had a chance to check it out, yet.
Between debugging, the icons, and some medical problems, I haven't had a chance.

warzog ya saw the post after I had all ready made my post I usually read from the last page back

thank you 4 placeing the ships in the story line hopefully there will b a cool starter ship
michael dean has done a real good job with his reballence mods execpt 4 the cruise eng drain in 3.2 I know u r real bussy but if u have time maby u can checl out his mods he has all the upgrable stuff
I am flyin the order ship in 1.6 and it has a ton of nomad weapons ans several other high lv weapons also is this a mess up or did u put them there for a reason ?????????

It wasn't a mess up. I left them in, just in case people wanted to try them out on the WC ships. They've been removed in v1.07.

I finally took time out to check out the Paradigm.
It looks absolutely great!
But there are 2 SEVERE problems with it:
1) When it lands, it goes completely underground!
I thought that it was either invisible, or so big, that I just couldn't see it. But as it took off, and climbed out of the ground, I knew why I hadn't seen it!
2) IT FLIES SIDEWAYS!!!
That's right! It's flying as though the left wing is the front, and the right wing is the rear. The rear is to the left, and the nose is to the right. Wierd! The guns shoot out the left wing, and the engine exhausts point backwards through the fuselage.

Update:
While testing lights and contrails on the OLD original mod's ships, I noticed that the Armor Upgrade doesn't transfer during ship sales as it used to, but the power generators, and sensor's still do.
When I get time, hopefully, tomorrow, I'll go back and see what I did to the armor that I didn't do to the other two.
After that, once I've gotten the lighting/contrails done for the old mod's ships, I'm going to put together the Privateer only mod.

Update:
All 3 Upgrades are set up the same, but the Sensor's and Generator's still transfer!

In the Privateer only mod, I'm going to have the Paradigm replace the Gunboats, and place Gunboat patrols in almost all of the systems.
There are Gunboat patrols now, in FL, but they're limited to a very few systems.

I still need to finish a debugging run-through on v1.07, but I'm waiting on the Banshee, Concordia, and the promised ship upgrades.

While I'm waiting, I've started work on the Privateer Only mod.

Fixed and uploaded the Paradigm CMP (and doubled the size!). Unfortunately, I can't think of any decent texture for the Gothri - like I said, Tolwyn has the only worthwhile one. There should be the one from my old mod, though.
