Why doesn''t trent Drink?

Please guys, you're all talking about Trent like he's a real person and that there must be a psychological reason for him not drinking. It's really simple....he's a made-up character and they implemented it this way. They probably wanted some morality in FL or if you think about it...it really really doesn't add to the game if he does drink, so why bother to implement it ? It makes no sense.

Or he could be associated with the AA and has to stay sober all the time

It's probably because the game is done by Microsoft and the M$ lawyers didn't want to get into a lawsuit.

I agree, Trent is nowhere as bad-ass as he needs to be. I dunno about you, but I don't expect in the future for everyone to be so chipper. "Hi! Ok, well, good luck!"

Another good reason to stay away from the booze is that it is a nice, easy way to turn the "T" rating into an "M".

Hmmm...not sure about that, I mean beer adverts in the US are on public TV, so there shouldn't be an M rating just for that.

Also, the fact that you can actually smuggle drugs (albiet just made up ones) in the game seems more likely to get the US Censors' attention than the fact that you had a drink at a bar.

Actually with a little careful intrerpretation no one could ever tell that Trent was drinking, I mean, "Sidewinder Fang" - has no mention of whether it has alcohol in it. And hey- who's to say that Liberty Ale is just a future version of Root Beer.

Actually, when you first go into the bar on Manhatten, Trent does have a drink. The bartender gives it to him after learning Trent survived the destruction of Freeport 7.
Maybe Trent only drinks when it's free.

There is one chick who is definitely hitting on Trent and he even shows some interest back. She is in the bar in ****(from SP). I think they even have a unique conversation, it's about same things as all others, but not like them.
