What a very decisive battle!

Well, my clan's name is [CEUY, consist of around 20 people or more... each week we have additional followers, lolz

Our clan is divided into 2 sub-clan, the [C*U or Cardamine United (the Bad Guys), and .. I don't know the others, they're tagless (Good Guys).

The scenario is:
[C*U has setup a base in New Tokyo, while the Good guys have setup theirs in New London... that's why I can't go to UK without their "Friendly" Permission, lolz

We play offline Vanilla FL... too bad, the Admin has no courage to set up an international server....

The result of the first battle is:
[C*U's base has been breached but we had the upper hand to push the Good Guys into Independent territory (Kepler and Galileo).

My Drome rulez, lolz, thanks to your setup, Zeta. They even think I used a "Frigate" Mod... looks like they have never seen a Drome before, lolz

Still, the war continues until next week.... I hope [C*Us can breach their perimeters and finally set foot on Planet New London (their last bastion)

We set foot upon New London and finally won the First Battle. I really thank you, Zeta, for the Drome setup.

Now that there's nothing to be afraid of, I decided to experience something new, that is... flying a Banshee! I want to be a Rheinlander for a while

I will try to obtain:
- Vampire 2 (that must be IMG's, right?)
- Vampire 2, again
- Sunrail
- Catapult... the most economic missiles imho

Hopefully I can dish out some Outcasts to get their Pyros type 3, just in case I can't be friendly with 'em.

"And why do you want to use Particle and Tachyon weapons?" you might wonder. The reason is simple... I just want to try something new, nothing extraordinary about it

Is there any good setup other than I have planned?

Being a Smuggler is a great option! Economically calculated, U get commodities for free and sell them for thousands... remember not to pilot after taking some Cardamine....

well, congrats about the battle, im glad the setup worked. As for the Banshee, the setup might not be too bad, just keep something in mind. It would not be good if they used strong Positron shields. Adv. Sunrail covers graviton shields, and IMG weps cover yer Molecular shields. But that leaves a gap. Nothing covering Positron shields. About another setup, i could get u alot of them hopefully. But, i need the exact armaments capabilities of the Banshee. Ive lost my Freelancer disk bak at home, and im typing from my laptop in New York city. So once u buy the Banshee. Write down how many of each weapon class slots there are. That would help me imensly and save me a lot of time. Glad u won! im sure youll be able to again!

Banshee has 4 weapons slot... well, it is the heaviest and the most expensive Light Fighter in Freelancer.

2 Class 6 weapons slot and 2 Class 7 weapons slot.

Err... Positron? I forgot about that....

I wonder the mathematics behind Freelancer though... How much resistance percentages does the Positron have against Tachyon/Neutron and Plasma/Particle?

Just tell to the others your Fav weapons, .... etc.
If you want to get a ship, try it first, and then come here and tell to the others what you liked!

Okay. Here is another setup for the Banshee.

for yer Level 7's, try 2 Fury 2, their Zoner weapons, try Freeport 10, 5, or 9.
Then, Stealthblade MK1, get at a Rheinland "Wal-Mart"
Then the last is your choice. A sunrail, or a Skyrail, they both take out Graviton sheilds, so dont replace any other ones for both unless you want to. But, i specifically designed this setup for really good refire rate, so expect alot of energy to be consumed and a decent amount of damage, exeot Skyrail and Sunrail arent as fast firing as the others, it still has the expertice against Graiton needed for an all-around shield punch.

Edit - Deathman's setup sounds really cool, and not to mention powerful! But one question Deathman, how energy efficent is it? Sounds like a flying weapons platform!

Sorry for metamorphosing the thread into "Chatting Thread", IAR80... I'm sure I was the one who did the start...

Anyways, I have another setup (finally made by me!!)

Here's my Titan setup:
1. Lancer Launcher
2. Cannonball Launcher
3. Salamanca Mk II
4. Salamanca Mk II
5. Tizona del Cid
6. Tizona del Cid

For what I have experimented (to NPC and the unlucky third party fellow in the offline server), this setup is great! It is not an energy consuming set but it does pack a lot of punch.

2 del Cids are meant to take even the best class 10 shield (sorry Vahn_Toth for choosing your Uber Sabre as my experimental rabbit).

2 Salamancas are more than enough for people who can't find the Class 10 Weapons. But I'm sure they will find them out sooner or later.

Lancer Missiles are meant for finishing blow. Yup... you need calculation before launching one... (1500 per missile... doh)

As for the Cannonball, I don't recommend using it as a fighter-killer. It is meant for destroying structures and other slow-moving targets. (Less responsive players ARE categorized as slow-moving too, lolz )

Other equipment that I use are:
Adv. Countermeasure Dropper (a must)
Swatter Mine ( I haven't changed it.. maybe later)
and Hornet Cruise Disruptor (good for messing with opponents' cruising party)

Majorly feel bad for that third party. Sounds cool. Anybody here use a Falcon?

Titan with your setup is cool, but try this setup on Sabre. I think one Tizona it's enough. Tizona del Cid it's a pulse weapon, so be carefull when encounter a ship with a Graviton Shield! Also they have a slow refire rate and hugh consumption of power.

Here comes a little spoiler about my friend's setup.. probably not the best and quite energy consuming...

He's using Eagle... congratulations for getting it

and here's his setup:
1. Lancer Missile Launcher
2 - 5. Four Salamanca Mk IIs
6. Neutralizer Missile Launcher
7. Salamanca Turret

He's just... well, a backstabber-behind-the-clan, lolz

What I really want to know is,
Does his Eagle pose a real threat to my latest Titan setup?
Second, if we're engaging each other, with the same maneuver, same skills and tactics, who will last longer?

Only if his neutralizers hit otherwise hes too low on shield damge especially vs positoron shields
