Absolutely no restrictions, Zeta!

Because... in war, rules are made to be broken... well, that's the case for the day after tomorrow's battle....

my fellow comrades want me as a "Missile Frigate"... unfortunately... I think Drome can only handle Catapults, right? I think I'm going back to my old school style... EMP - Catapult - Mine combo.

Any other suggestion?

I dislike saber ships but i like titans !
They can have 4 class 10 weps whilst a sabre can only have 2.

So are you going to go with that? Cuz you still have ur turrets needed in their. While you posted this i was taking screenshots of my Dromedary. Henc Identifying the weapons spots so i could then select the right weapons. Hence, then giving the max potential for firepower, and still and energy efficent system. After that, maybe trying it in the Field. One question, why are you using a Dromedary as a Missle Frigate, so it can be a frigate with turrets? Because if you want a realtively cheap ship as a nothin' but missles ship, try the Barracuda. And why arent you using a more advanced ship such as Sabre, Titan, Eagle, even tho i like lesser ships better. But i will work with what you want. So you want me to design something that will go good with Missles on ur turrets? or make a mixed thing of my own design like i showed you above? JW,

Yeah, Unib5 but Sabre have a turret wich is fire 360*, I prefer that instead of a turret wich is fire only in the back!
Titan 6 Guns in front
Sabre 7 Guns in front and to not forget the good maneuvrability he have.

Maybe... a mixed design would be great. Me and my pals are running vanilla FL, so, I think Missiles on Turret would be... quite weird ^^.

My friend contacted me that he would be sincere to purchase one Borroco Turret for the Drome, shield buster is the main tactic for my clan.

Why do my comrades want me to use Drome? The reason is... the opposing force (op4) has never known a freighter used for assault. In our clan's opinion, Drome handles well just like other Heavy Fighters.

A reversed psychology tactic... that would be the name.

As for the question: "Why don't I use Very Heavy Fighters", the answer is: the op4 has no VHF at all. We want a fair play. But, if they do have VHF(s) in their arsenal, that would be the problem I and my clan should discuss next

Lastly, my clan is about to use... a dirty tactic:
Every fighter and freighter (that would be me and one of my comrade) will bring cardamines. Therefore, if one of us just got destroyed, they will carry the Cardamine (as the op4 has a behaviour to Beam the whole thing with that "B" button and never look at their inventory).

You know what I mean? Bringing a Cardamine to the nearest Kusarian planets means a total mess

Pretty intresting, another tactic i use to even the odds, is fly right next to a station. If ur a good pilot, dodge all of the fire. It hits station, oponet is hostile. Causes chaos, and i sweep in and come for the kill. Or, just watch them for high up be schooled for 60npcs. MAWHAHAHAH!!! ill get to work on ur mixed now. And i love the idea of ML and LL ships being used, seems like starlancer sometimes with only 3ships ever seen.

Alright, i did my research. Ive looked at the stats of all these weapons, and i have a couple things u need to remember. One, this will cost you a pretty Penny for some players. 128,900 to be exact. It will also cost you alot of time. I dont know if you have the time for it with the battle being tomorrow. Another thing. Your going to have alot of destructive power, however. Were talking a couple shots and uve lost ur energy. Enormous amounts of energy to fire. I do have some good news. When i did my research, i made sure to have a least one weapon thats best against each type of shield. [Graviton, Postitrion, and Molecular. So its jsut the raw intensity of the shield of ur enemy as problem. If those shields dont go down, and ur not out of energy yet, its cuz those shields are too strong, not because your weapons arent covered in all of the shield aspects. One problem is with the high energy intensity, your gonig to have to be dodging alot of fire while ur energy is coming back. And frankly, i dont know if your Dromedary will be manueverable enough against Eagles and Sabres. So let me make myself clear by saying this is a gamble with all the firepower im putting on your ship, pretty much trying to light up detroit with a Potato Alarm clocks energy. So using the following setup is very risky, and will require a bunch of skills in gunnery, piloting, and strategy. Remember, your Dromedary will have a total of 5 turrets onboard. Dont forget to use ur turret view!! it can save ur life. But can also kill you. You cant change course when ur in Turret mode. Meaning until u get out of Turret View, and change course, ur just a thrustering duck. And im afraid an eagle is going to take advantage of it and blow you to smithereins'. But anyway heres the setup.


Fer your guns, have a Borroco, Drake Type A, and Flamercuse MK1

Borroco you can get at ur local Corsair Wal-Mart, ie, Cadiz, Leon, Crete, and the likes.

Drake Type A, you need to get that from Kabuchicko Depot, a Hogosha base in 5c, New Tokyo if im not mistaken.

Flamercuse, get thos from, either Battleship Westfalen, any of yer Rheinlander Border Stations, Such as Bradenburg Border Station, [New Berlin, D6 Pirna Border Station, [Dresden, E5 Lubeck Border Station, [Hamburg, E7 Konstanz Border Station, [Stuggart, D7 Ulm Border Station, [Stuggart, D4 Fulda Border Station, [Frankfurt, D2 Planets Hamburg, New Berlin, and Stuggart, and last, but not least, Oder Shipyard.

Then, you want an Angelito Turret. Get these at your, "Corsair Wal-marts"

Then a Magama Hammer Turret, availible on either Willward Research Station or Planet Manhatten.

Then your Luger Type A turret, availible at Brunshal. [Frankfurt, D3

Debilitator Turret. There is one thing you must do!!!! Make sure the Debilitator Turret, is not in the Forth Weapons Slot. After screenshotting and indexing in Paint earlier this morning, i realized it was the rear firing Turret. Your Debilitator will be able to take down shields, but has a hull damage of 11. So, in the case ur routing, and you need to take someone down, your definetly going to want something that has a good overall punch. Ill leave that at your descetion. Get the Debilitator Turret at the following locations. Yukawa Shipyard, Yokahama Shipyard, Tsushima Depot, Shinjunku Station, Shinagawa Station, Rugen Station, Roppongi station, Osaka Storage Facitliy, Graves Station, Douglas Station, and Detroit Munitions. Detroit obiovsly the best choice for when starting your weapopns quest.

Last, but not least, The Fury Turret! A Zoner Photon-Based Weapon, makes an alright Punch, not the best, but it is best against Positron shields, and i needed something for the Positron. You can get this at any of the Freeports you want, exept Freeport 4, which is an IMG base, and i'm sorry, but you cant get it at Ames Reseach Station! Thus Freeport 2 is the closest to Manhatten that sells it. Freeport 2 is in the middle of Bering System, i handy repair spot in the dangerous Liberty-Rheinland Border Worlds. Keep in mind Bering system is home to the Unioners, who will surely be attacking all the lanes around, but not at, Freeport 2. Keep in Mind, if your enemies are using ADV. Brigantine Shields, they are positron, which will mean their harder to take down since your weaponary isnt tottaly based against Positron shields. Not to mention the ADV, Brigantine Heavy Fighter Shield has a Shield Capacity of 8,280!!! So id also reccomend the best shields avaiible, best mines availible, and ADV. Countermeasures of course. Keep in mind, you could loose the Drake Type A gun and put in a missle if you want, which wouldnt be a bad idea.

Theres your Setup!!! Keep in mind again, this will take up alot of Energy, i didnt field test this, but i can tell by the armaments desciptions. So keep that in mind, your not flying a power plant!! This is a risky setup, and i really do hope you win. Good Luck in your Battle, youll need it if your going up against Very Heavy Fighters. So give em' heck for me pal!! Good luck.

As Borocco is already in my arsenal, I'll have to find the rest of your setup. For the Drake, I think I'll change that into Catapult missile, kinda risky at first...

But since I have lots of buddies around me, I think the setup would be fine and can cover up my comrades around.

Ahhhh yes the Dagger the finest light fighter in early game play. You know it is better then the Defender and the Defender is considered a Heavy Fighter. I'd take a Dagger over a Defender in any game.

Just got the Fury Turret! After a little bit of... bribing... doh... killing too many Xenos and Bounty Hunters has made my Rep against the Zoners to Neutral....

Ouw, by the way, if my friend brought a Borroco (unassigned) and op4 destroyed him, the Borroco would be lost? Is that right?

Yes, the Dagger is a fine ship. Can run circles around the Defender. But the Defender, with the proper weapons setup, can be a pretty good ship in Liberty, even some of the Border Worlds. But i wouldnt like to be in Southern Bering an attacked by 2 squadron of Unioner Falcons, and the nearest lane is 10k away. But, with the right setup, you might be able to get away, probably take a couple of them with ya when u left. I might try and get a couple more setups.

Hey, i told u guys id get you a weapons setup for the Defender. Well here it is. I call her, The Venture. Heres her armaments. leeds up to somehwere around 60k, not including the Bribe Money. Heres her Armaments.

And Adv. Stunpulse
2Helios
1Helios 2
Slingshot Missle Launcher
Lavablade Mk.2 Turret
Adv. Countermeasures
StarKiller Torpedo Launcher
Driller Mine


This Liberty And Zoner Hybrid Bad Boy has a couple pros and cons. Here they are

Pros.
Quick refire rate, designed that way with the Zoner Photon Cannons.
Good for Hit and run, like any Defender

Cons.
Slow turning.
Somewhat expensive for a starting player.
Not good outside Liberty.
Very Energy consuming setup.
Doesnt have the cool Liberty symbol on the side of the ship like Rhino has

All and all, its not the best setup, but its intresting and thought id try it. So try it if u wish. Have fun! dont take it outside Liberty.

Finally... got my own Borocco with my own effort and the rest of the setup! Not mentioning getting attacked by Hunters and the third party clanners B-)

After testing your setup, you were absolutely right! She ran out of energy quickly but I can handle that problem.

The biggest problem is... Flamecurse Mk1 is kinda slow, plus it has the slowest ROF ('coz it's plasma, Hogosha's would be a one of a kind Plasma weapon).

So, I changed the setup a bit. I unmounted the Flamecurse and changed it to Pyros 3. Same purpose though, Plasma (Flamecurse) and Particle (Pyros) hit Graviton shield really hard.

I guess the time is ticking close to the battle, 9 hours from now I'm writing this post 8)

Yes, a very intresting idea. The Outcast Particle Cannon should work very well. Good luck. And i was just wondering, what server is your clan on and what is your clan? Good Luck, have fun, and give em heck for me!!!
