Probably because EVE online sucks. Why? Oh look, its got pretty graphics! Its also got HALF WITTED DEVELOPERS. And the battle system? Don't make me laugh, you can't even aim! All you do is click a button and your computer shoots for you! I don't care if thats realistic or what, that just plain sucks. Also, it takes bloody forever to go anywhere, and if you shoot at anything once, your dead, period. Plus it has a monthly fee, and i HATE monthly fees.

So yeah, those are a few reasons to play such a "half-assed" game such as freelancer.

Did i mention that freelancer is moddable?

umm the only valid reason you provided is some people not liking monthly fees. The rest is just rubbish.

I assume you tried eve (14 day trial probably). No idea why you didn't like the dev's, the eve community loves them more than anything .

But anyway, eve combat invloves a LOT more skill and thought than freelancer ever will. You think other wise becasue u haven't done any high-end pvp, that's all . And it took you forever to go anywhere becasue you didn't have instas, which means that you probably never left teh noobcorp (which also means you haven't really tried eve at all).

And being killed after shooting something... umm well maybe you should read the new player guides and not shoot things in 0.5 etc...

I love arguing, especially when I know I'm right^^.

Ok folks, back on topic please. this is NOT an eve forum nor does it have anything to do with this thread.

ok for me it was the freedom mostly exploring and the like but also the storyline had me fused to the keyboard till i finished it.

Its just a great MP game and so many mods make it very interesting and changable

Nothing is impossible. Just improbable.

Freelancer is not only amazing, but its community is one of the strongest and most accepting out there. TLR itself is amazing.

I instantly liked the 3d flight software for null-G. Also liked the keyboard/mouse. (I didn't have to go get a stick, although I'd gladly buy one for This game). Then I discovered how big it is and the freedom after SP.

You always find what you're looking for.

Once I read about how what you do can dictate the events, I was hooked. That and using the mouse vs a joystick intruiged me. Once I started playing I was hooked (and still to this day..lol) As soon as I finished the SP game I went online to see if there was any updates and discovered TLR. Once here I saw the mods and have been hooked ever since....(and dragged the rest of the family in to play it kicking and screaming till they liked it..lol)
