You don't actually HAVE to part with your existing ship, Griffin. You can easily continue the story while keeping your Defender.

Not when they start getting better ships. In MP I have an Eagle but I have learned that if enogh BHs show up you can still be in serious trouble.

Is there an actuall difference in manuverability between fighters? I alwys thought the civillian ships were sluggish but I always though it was just my imagination.

Oh most definitely. Grab a Drake or Patriot, then try a Corsair ship or freighter and youll see the difference.

I think taht Kusari make the best ships around. The Drone is a great freighter because it can still fight. The Drake and Dragon are both excellent at out-manuvering the enemy and its quite easy to take out VHFs with them.

yes, but im a VHF guy my self, i dont find any problem staying with an LF as i use the 'Z' key and my heavy thrusters a lot

im more of a fleet comander in MP and have always loved the feel of the bigger ships. THats why i love the VHFs because when u take a mission, the first head-2-head gives me a huge advantage. Plus, after the first head2head u can kill the throttle and spin and shoot because u got better shields. Anyway, in SP even whei had the freighter if my shields were down id just put my corsshair in a corner and put a small weight on the TAB key and go get some soda. Never had much in for maneuverability myself.
