He seems more like the guy in that old TV series, "Tales of the Golden Monkey". Even dresses the same.

Before I forget: Trent does get electrocuted in the game. Storyline missions, shock prod to the torso. NIghty-night, Trent.
But is Trent good or bad? Neither, really, unless you're prepared to pass judgment on society at large. Trent is trying to make his way in a societal setup that basically is every man for himself. As someone previously stated, half of Sirius kills for money, whether it's contracted hits or piracy. The only laws are profit and jungle. What makes you money and keeps you breathing. Trent's a hard man in a hard place. Blame the environment. He doesn't like being played, and he expects fair play on both sides of a deal. I think he's just gotten the wrong end of the stick often enough to be more concerned with Number One than anything else anymore. Well, for the most part...there are some other things worth fighting for, he later says. But as for Trent's ultimate Good-vs-Evil standing, that's up to the player. If you're scooting around whacking Spa&Cruise transports and blowing up police patrols, yes, you're an evil little sod. If you're making the system a safer place by frying outlaws and defending the weak guy, you'd be good. It's all subjective and all up to you in the end.
