I think Trents designers wanted to make him..."cool"

I think he meant, cool as in someone who doesn't think much of others emotions and dispenses with pleasentries.

Well, he interrupted Juni's conversation with some random NPC, he kills people for a living, there's that whole 'he owes me some credits' thing in the opening sequence. There's probably some more stuff but i can't think of it.

Either i don't understand what your saying, or your implying Trent is "evil" because he is Bretonian.

However, i don't believe Trent is evil at all. True he comes across as slightly arrogant and confident, but that doesn't make him evil.

Reasons why:

1) Most of Sirius kills for a living
2) If someone wounded but not critical owed me a million pounds, i would certainly care.
3) When Trent interupts Juni, she at this moment in time his only way to get credits. Bear in mind he is left with only a few after FP7. I would be trying to make my way also.
4) Trents Neural net log later in the game shows how much honour and pride he actually has as well as a compassion. So not to give away a spoiler i think its like mission 7 or 8.
5) Trent fights on behalf of a certain faction later in the game for what purpose.
Need i say more.

Trents a freelancer he does what serves him best, if it is to kill he will, but he will not do something without a reason, he just tries to survive

Basically, Trent comes across as a bit of a thickie ...

I kinda second that; like in that Outcast base in the Storyline, um, forgot its name: *guard pushes Quintaine away* Trent says: Dont go and do that... *pulls out gun* Or is that a spoiler?
