Yes it is! And it's fun to fly the lifepod to. Just use a Character Editor and change your ship to "lifepod".

Life pods are worthless. Whatever destroys the ship will destroy the pods. It's just buying a few seconds for a couple of last "Hail Mary"s

Well, I think it's possible because I know you start out with a lifepod in the FreeWorlds mod (Star Wars based MP-only).
I don't think you can mount any weapon on it tho.

Why would you want guns on a life pod? I can see why from an FL standpoint, but if it can destory a whole station, what chance does a little pod have? --- VH16
