Best SP mod?

I wanna play SP again, but it's kinda boring without a mod. So, what in your opinion are/is the best single player mod(s)?

FL: TNG, the only way to fly.

I thought mission scripts were getting messed up when using Tng?

Not that I noticed

yep, for the 1st mission u get 25k, instead off the 2k, in the 3th mission u get 100k...

and i don't like the fighter characteristic also... some rn't easy to fly, to agile, and stay slide in the turns... so i do sp again in unmodded version...

If u c some1 in a dagger make fireballs from hunters it can be me

Yeah, I started the SP camp. with TNG 1.7, the ship you start with is way to agile, I was having trouble with it for a bit.

Did you try lowering the speed? If you go higher then 70-80, it's very hard to fight.

Actually, I think the starting ship is very handy.
If you know how to kill your engine well, to kill your foes become much easilier, even boring.
And...a little shortcoming is its firepower...even you got something like "kamuri dragoonbeam"...

by th way...i like the model of star viper very much!! it's also strong, angile, and having excellent fire power slot!!

some items add to the mod are too strong...so i now feel boring killing those droobs...

I use engine kill like a ***** with the starflier, even using a lowered speed it's still super-agile. No matter now I went over to the Ringworld system and got a new ship.

I'm trying to beat TNG in a Crab, quite easy so far in COMBAT. Racing Hovis? HARD AS.

He either

Blows up on the course and the game doesn't notice
BLOWS UP ON MY CRAB PRE RACE
Nudges me into a ring ****ing my attempts
Shoots me and makes me mad so I beam him

So I went to the Starfyre site to download TNG 1.7. I thought TNG only worked as an MP game. Only to discover TNG won't run on anyting less than W2000 or WXP. TNG 1.7 is too much for W98 or WME.

And here am I with WME. Oh well.

That's odd. I have Windows 98 and TNG works fine on my system... Anyways, for SP mods, I like rebalance. The downfall of rebalance for many people is it is unstable compared to TNG.

Rebalance is better IMO. Seeing Battlecrusiers in a three way fight is beyond cool.

@Laserblast:

I'd really like to give it a try so could you let me know if you actually are running 1.7? When you go to the 1.7 download site and click on the readme, it pretty much tells you to forget it if you are running W98 or WME.

@Heltak:

People keep referring to Rebalance not being very stable. How unstable is it?
I just downloaded the latest version but I am getting gunshy because I hate to have to keep tinkering to get FL to work. The challenge of it only keeps me interested for a little while. After that it turns into frustration.
