The animation always shows Outcasts with some sort of apparatus attached to their noses... I suspect it's probably an inhaler for the cardamine.

I don't know why, but I always imagined cardamine to be like the spice in Dune. I know there is absolutely no basis for that in the game, but it just always appealed to me. I guess I just like the way the spice is feared and reverred in the novels.

yup... cardamine beer on malta or spice beer on dune...

on malta is cardamine everywhere and is a sort off grass...

spice on dune is builded up by smaller makers (eggs or cocoons what become later the makers (shai-hallud or sandworms)) and have a lot off water in it (sandworms who died in water will make a special water with what Bene Geserit needs)... it's knowable that sandworms can't live in high persentage of water in the ground...

the pre-spice become spice if it's pressed upwards and the sand above them will pulled downward... the spice is used by the guild who needs spice to see what's the savest route in space...

about cardamine i know 1 thing... it's the same as spice from dune for normal humans... if u "used" it a few time u need it for the rest of ur live (isn't it fun )

Besides cardemine gas is how the gas breathers were filled with cardemine. Its a powder or pill. Maybe liquid but not gas

prolly more along the lines of an aerosolized inhaler which they need to use in order to breathe off-world. In which case the drug itself would be a very fine powder.

Or, it could be a gas in its regular form, in which case it would be somewhat similar to a mini-scuba tank for druggies.

aaah my favourite subject this is my take...

cardamine comes in pill form, but if you eat it whole its very potent. Other options include holding it in front of your afterburner until it turns crumbly and sprinkling it inbetween two or three glued together rizlas, adding tobacco, rolling and smoking....or slow burning it through water and filtering it up 2 pipes straight into your nostrils....and my personal favourite....baking it into a cake

it grows in fields and beside certain roads, but can only be harvested in hot climates such as on Planet Malta.
