Leviathon, I disagree. Only two of the ships available at that point have unique advantages over the Anubis (one is a light fighter, the other a freighter) but these ships also have certain disadvantages. Each of the three completely dominates their own category (LF/HF/freighter) at that point.
Of the heavy fighters, only two play even in the same league: Barracuda (has less of everything but is slightly more agile) and Dragon (has less of everything but does not lose equipment when wings get shot off). Overall the combat value of the Anubis is almost one full class higher than that of the Barracuda or Dragon - if you get the right equipment and have the skill to handle it, of course. With mediocre equipment and/or lack of skill the three ships are more or less equal.
