i don't want to offend you, Mr. Warbird, but speak English more, please. No understand you!
I know they're building a jumpgate to Hokkaido (or at least there where the Blood Dragons are). They don't seem to be having a way back once this jumpgate works. As I stated earlier, I would use a jumphole to construct a jumpgate on the other side! That way you would have 2 way travel. No-one likes to get stuck in the Blood Dragon system! (Unless you are their friend ofcourse). I think that Ageira must have been using jumpgates because every system seems to have a jumpholes. and only some of those have jumpgates.

Ok someone else's turn to fill up cyberspace...

i just only know that worm-holes r bendings in space-time...

jumpholes in the game r wormholes... only to bad that in real live a wormhole doesn't excist for long...

warp-speed is also a type of bending of space-time, and only that way u can travel faster then light (what we know is that only possible in worm-holes)

a blackhole is deu to the heavy mass and gravitation a type of bending space-time, only to bad that it will ripp everything toward the 'pitt of deathness'

Nice spelling. Did you get a dictionary from Ebster?

Anyway, this is how i think it goes. The whole time you play freelancer, it's one day. I mean notice that nothing ever changes. Trent wears the same clothes, etc.
Now also he has to land on the light side of the planet, you know better to see. Just so happens that it looks the same everywhere on the planet. Now about the tradelane thing, if we were to have some kind of clock in there, i would imagine that everything in the system orbits with the planets. everything manmade. they are set and controlled by people with precise science. Remember this is 800 years from the "end" of the war with the coalition. These guys are VERY advanced. If they went back in time they would own the coalition in an instant..
Anyway you can't tell if it is the same day everywhere because you can get from leeds to theta in less than 30 minutes.(with my mods it takes 5 minutes) And supposidly we're going by OUR time, so it would be the same day. Plus you leave the game every so often that you stop time in the game.

this is all just ****ed up theroy.

On the jumpgate thing, I think the idea is that they construct the jumpgate to allow access to the target system then they send construction teams over there to build a return gate. Jumpholes must be a different phenomenon that just coincidentally allows interstellar travel in a similar manner.

As for the time thing, my total game time at the end of the SP missions is usually 20 or so hours... I think it's actually pretty well done on the developers' part that they can make you feel like days and weeks have passed with only a few hours actual playtime. The fact that nothing ever changes is a bit strange though. They could at least finish the chugoku jump gate or show some change in the borderworlds balance of power or something. Oh well. There's always an expansion pack.

While playing the story I started to realize that some jumpholes are unstable. Jumpholes might not work in a 100 years from now. JumpGATES however profide a stable hole. There is no sign that jumpgates break up as time passes. It would just make sense to me that DSE would pick a system with a backdoor in case anything would go wrong. EVERY SYSTEM HAS A JUMPGATE!!! Would DSE just be guessing what would be a good system. Would they be clueless as to what system they would be building a gate to?! I think they use jumpHOLES to get an idea, and if it looks good they build a gate.

IMPORTANT: They're building the Gate to the Blood Dragons system (hokkaido?)because there are goods in the asteroids (at least they say on the contruction site). How do they know this?! They must have visited the system! (Remember, the jumpgate is not functional yet!).

They discovered the system, after wich the Blood Dragons took it over. That's what the whole war between them is all about.
And they traveled from system to system without jumpholes at first and started constructing jumpgates later.
Jumpholes were mostly discovered after that.

Stick to one topic, ok?
No need to post the same stuff in two diferent topics.

Why do you think they travelled into a system on Cruise Engines and later build a Jumpgate?! I personnally think they would go into a system with jumpholes and THEN build a Gate.

You are suggesting DSE or Ageira could get into a system using only cruise engines and then build a jumpgate.

If this is so, then don't you think it's a coincidence that there are jumpholes to EVERY ACCESIBLE SYSTEM?

Please post more thoughts...
