Preferred View for Play?

I've just discovered cockpit view after i completed the single player about three times...oops...

Therefore i'm doin it a fourth time in cockpit mode...its quite fun actually...
It seems a bit harder to shoot in the cockpit mode although manouvering seems easier...

any preferances?

I find it harder to aim in cockpitview. Also you can't see whats beside you.
There's just more to see in external-view.

Don't use your sig too often, it wears out...

Realism? : I think the cockpitview is a joke.. No instruments, no steering wheel, no buttons, no little lights. I don't understand why they even bothered to put it in the game.

Got to be the external view, just cos the cockpit view is pointless, and the graphics look better from outside.

i use external view

its just cooler

in cockpit few the sounds feel weird and you see less things

i always find internal view more fun except for a few ships like the patriot where the positioning will blind you when you shoot.

I decorated my cockpit to make it look nicer with cockpit view, but the Venecian blinds kept getting in the way

I use the cockpit view. I am a flight sim guy so flying from the outside just feels wrong.

I play in third person perspective most of the time, ie. during dogfights, exploring or any other regular type of gameplay. However, I switch to cockpit view whenever I'm navigating through asteroid or debris fields while going 1200.

I prefer the outside view, just because I can see everything, but the cockpit view is more realistic.

For Hovis Race I went to Cockpit & turned off the cockpit in Setup.
Nothing blocks my view. I like Need for Speed the same way: Bumper Cam.
