Are you a good guy, bad guy or neutral?

I guess I'm neutral. I try to stay on the good side of the navy and police, while being at least neutral with the pirate factions. It's just good business if I want the best equipment and hassle-free trade routes. I usually restrict my combat to the factions that nobody is allied with.

On a few occassions I've gotten myself on the wrong side of the law. That was more annoying than it was worth. The same thing went for the corporations. I don't recommend trying to fly through Kusari space if Kashima Industries is pissed at you. I had nearly every base, planet, trade lane ring, and police unit firing at me. Ugly. Then again, it was a hoot when a Kashima freighter opened up on me in Liberty Space and was obliterated by two battleship armadas that liked my company better.

I've got one save-game for each!

One is a Clint Eastwood style good-guy, mixin' it up with the scum of the universe and making just enough cash to cover running costs. Every criminal group hates me, and all the militaries and police love me, along with most of the big corporations.

The second is the criminal. Friendly with both Outcasts and Corsairs, and about half of the other criminal/terrorist factions, I smuggle Cardamine and Artifacts to Manhattan. On the way back to Malta or Crete, if I see a nice, juicy looking transport that's full o' valuable goods, I'll attack it. Travelling around has to be done by Jump Holes because I'm an enemy of all the police and navies!

Third is the neutral. I get along with the majority of factions, but I nail on the Bounty Hunters to keep the Criminals happy. I'll attack Xenos too if I see 'em, as everyone hates them and it boosts your rep all round for killing them.

In Calgary 24/7, freaking Samura and Kishiro hates me, so somtimes Manhattan can become a war zone (Well, it always is but that's not the point )

I stay out of trouble and stay with the police, kinda gives me friends and enemies.
Rouges are the force I allways come over to kill, Xeno's are second Junkers third and finally the Outcasts.

I try to stay neutral with the Liberty police, and am friendly with Rheinland. The other houses are hostile. So I guess I'd be a criminal, considering I smuggle cardamine to the poor, needy slums of Manhattan.

Umm, all of the above.

1st char: Goes on mindless slaughter spree through whatever system he is in. Routinly laying siege to every base and planet he passes for at least 30 minutes. Needless to say pirates love him and the rest of the world wants him dead.

2nd char: Through careful dipolmacy(read: killing Xenos till everyone neut or better then killing hunters for a bit) he is neutral to everyone. Spends his time as ethier a trader or Bounty Hunter against players.

3rd Char: Member of the Kurasi Navy. Defends Kurasi space from the cockpit of his customized(Equipment wise, not modded) Drake.

Well, I'm really an all out good guy in SP and MP. Except on MP and SP I am getting freindly with the Hessians so I can go and buy the Sabre. But after I get my Sabre and a few Nomad weapons and sum kick ass lvl 10 and 9 weapons, I'm gonna back-stab those Hessians so hard my ***kin' shoulder will be in their guts. So, I guess that explains it, "A good guy goin' bad to get what he wants, then doin' the right thing again."

Neutrality with everyone is safe, but has its drawbacks too. Neutral faction members aren't very forthcoming with information, high-tech equipment or missions, but if you already have all that, I suppose it doesn't matter.

Out of interest, is it possible to be Neutral with every faction? And is it also possible to be an enemy of all the Factions? I'm guessing it must be impossible to be friendly with every faction.

You can be neutral with everyone, tricky but doable, and getting on everyones bad side is straight forward enough (just kill *everything*)

I'm pretty much neutral, three enemies at the moment (Xenos, Mollys, Gaians), which makes five bases inaccessible (that all are pretty much crap).

I can't wait until I find a really good mod where I can fly the Liberty Cruiser... Ah... Sweet dreams Buffalo Base, 'cause here comes the almighty Projectile in the Dorsetshire (yeah, I'll call her that...) to blast your puny base to even punier pieces! WAHAHAHAHAHAAA!

I believe in the concept "Success through liberal use of machine gun fire"
