i have a few more...lol (u dunt read if u dunt wanna)

all of these are in mp

Pking a humpback for goods, then getting a price on my head (i was worth 200k) for anyone who could shoot me down....then running from the people and shooting all players down in my way...then hiding in the badlands then finding and killing the people who put the price on my head....so fun. btw i had a sabre.

Being a titan and out maneuvering a starflier player....what idiots

Taking out a convoy of mp players shipping cardamine to manhatten, picking up some of the cardamine, then getting scanned........

Finding out that i could use mods in mp.

leveling up 2 levels for buying a load of diamonds

Post Sat May 31, 2003 8:38 pm

I've got a few, but I'll pick my longest MP adventure. This had some trade route spoilers in it so don't read it if you don't want to know 'em!

This is kinda long, but it was a 2 hr journey...

A friend of mine (Shado) and I got together a convoy from Manhattan to make a really long run for Lux Goods, Diamonds, cardamine, etc... I didn't know the way, so I was just following him. Our group was:

1 Drome (me)
1 Humpy (Shado)
2 Defenders
1 Rhino
1 Starflier

To make things easier, he led one formation and I led the other, following him. We lost the Rhino right away... jumpgate collision issue, I think, but we made it all the way to Baden-Baden without losing anyone else!

Then we jumped into Omega-11, loaded up with water for Solarius Station. Poof! There went the Starflier. The rest of us ran like hell from the massive number of NPC pirates we'd collected. I think someone lost a wing before we got to Solarius, but we finally had our coveted diamonds! Next stop: New Tokyo, said Shado, going through the Sigma systems. We set out, each of us with 1 defender in formation. I still didn't know the way...

Well, everything was peachy until we hit New Berlin. I noticed several high-level players hangin' around the system, and one of them was chatting on the public channel about blowing up stuff. I told Shado I didn't like this, but we kept going. Sure enough, we come out of a trade land and the group is attacking a station right next to us and has knocked out the next lane we need. Shado hesistates, while I punch cruise. Poof! Dead Shado, dead defender #1. Ok, now out of 6... there's 2. And I don't know where we're going... so we run for the gate to Frankfurt.

Almost to the sigma-13 gate, our lane gets jacked by some pirates. No biggie, but just as it comes back up the same Eagle that toasted our buddies goes zipping by! So we hide in a nearby asteroid field while I try and figure out where to go now. A little research and I find the jumphole to Hamburg... better than nothing, so off we go.

Alas! On the other side of the hole, my buddy lags out and gets toasted by some pirates. So I eventually wander my way back to Manhattan (where I know its safe), the only survivor of our 6-ship get-rich-quick convoy.. 2 hours later.

"So, anyone want to go to New Tokyo with me?"

Gee... dead silence, big suprise, no?

Modding FL so that all the gates were open and all level reqs removed for equipment, getting a Barracuda before the second mission, running Diamonds from Cambridge to Leeds and Optronics from Leeds to Cambridge in a Dromedary for major creds, and playing the rest of the story missions in an Eagle with 2 DIAMONDBACK, 2 SILVER FIRE, and a Sunslayer Torpedo Launcher.... had 9 battleship kills by the time I hit the final mission without even really trying.
Nomad weapons would have been too much. I wuv my Eagle...

The funniest experience i've ever had was on the Elite server in MP. The NEO clan was after me and was dockcamping me at a base in the Galileo system. They did blow me up once or twice trying to get out. They were demanding 1 million dollars. But i had the ultimate last laugh in that little situation...the two NEO cronies left behind to keep me docked there slipped up and started dueling while waiting for me to come out. I broke their little blockade and made it to Colorado. The price went up to 2 million. Now i just play on a different server. Heck of a lot easier to play the game without 12-man hunting parties after me.

Best moments for me in SP, was the last couple of missions-
When your flying with your wing destroying the Nomads.

But the best part was after I beat it. I was wandering beyong Kyoto base around New Tokyo, trying to wait for a cargo ship to fall prey to me, when 3 Naval Kusari ships came attacking me. My Anubis was powerful, but they kept comming, and my shield noises got annoying. They kept pouding me and pounding until I used all my afterburn and batteries when, out of no were, 2 patrols full of Dragons (one leader male the other female) dove in with the "Im engaging Naval 4-blue"
We Kicked ther A**'s!!!!!!!! the numerous numbers dissaeared and they whined with stuff like, "Geez their to powerful!" and i gained the upper hand, DUMB NAVAL *****! HAHAHA FOR OZU!

Finding a hard to find base or a rare weapon are some of the game's great moments to me.

I was in a Defender Showing my friend how 2 fly. We go into the badlands and waves of rogues coem at us. After I am wounded with like no shield bats and few bots, all I see a single dagger coming at us. I hid behind an Asteroid and then right as it got close I jump out and take a few hits fire to take off shields and launch a torpedo. Well I killed 3 things.. Myself, the dagger, and my friend. Expolision killed dagger got me and my friend was close enough that his partiot=dead.

My favorite moment, when you fight women in ships, and just as they start burning up they scream "I don't wanna diiieeeee"*Blam*... Or when you're en 'bad guy' territory and you hear the lin "Cardamine, cardamine, everybody wants cardamine..." or the one "Hypocrites, the so called 'good guys' are more currupt than we are!"

No, better yet, getting a fully pimped out titan and running a l. 1 mission....

Post Tue Jun 03, 2003 6:29 pm

Flying through a mined asteroid field at cruise speed of 500...in a rheinland gunboat only to take a jump hole and find my ship exploding before I noticed the 2 dozen nomad interceptors surrounding me.

Best moment?
Killing a reinland battleship in a drake; even though I had blood dragon support, I still had to do most of it myself.

*spoilers*

-seeing rheinland ships appear out of nowhere (when they decloaked for the first time it scared the pee out of me)
-probably seeing lonogon. i though he was paranoid. then i saw the rest of the story
-and who could forget that awesome fight scene when rescuing jacobi?

is it me, or would this game make a great book? of course, theyd have to cut out the freelancing parts to some extent, but still
