What was the Single greatest moment in the game for you?

I was coming out of the arms factory, in manhattan. I heard a BIG fight outside, and I was itching to get into action. As the docking bays opened, a Xenos ship was barreling right towards me, and 2 missiles impacted the bay. The xenos ship went into a spin, and crashed into the bay right on top of my dinky starflier. This was in single player, and it scared the living POOP outta me.

OOh, a fight!
Um... I cant move...
Whew... that missile almost hit me...
IIINCOMIIING!!!!
... sweet jesus what the hell was that ...

Only the dead have seen the end of war.

Spoiler alert!!!!

I really dug the Dyson Sphere mission. Extremely challenging but fun.

What part of that mission stuck out for you? Can you narrow it down to a single moment?

Here is another one... ALSO in a starflyer...

I just finished the first set of missions, and got to freelance by myself. I decided to raid a tradelane. I flew to the lane between manhattan, and west point. I destroyed a ring, and awaited my victims.

My victims: 5 daggers... showing up at about the same time as when I got into a spat with a few rogues... Also, due to bad planning on my part, I still had 2 lev.1 pea shooters equipped. Needless to say, I decided it was time to re-evaluate my priorities. I decided to haul ass out of the area. Too bad the tradelane wasn't working... I wonder why? Oh now I remember... I blew it all to hell. Much like the daggers blew ME all to hell.

1. When the realization dawned on me that it was possible to beat a VHF with a Patriot.

2. Seeing the last level for the first time.

Reaper: $200,000,000.
Rockets: $100,000
The look on that pilot's face when you launch a full pod of screamers up his tailpipe: priceless

Im not sure what the greatest was but I know the worse was when i finished the last mission. I wanted MORE

It had to have been the first time I played the SP storyline and I stuck with the defender (not knowing I could get the Anubis at the time) and trying to get that damned Nomad Power source and getting back through the jump hole alive in under 9 minutes!!!

I must have gotten killed at least a dozen times in the defender on that mission!

Greatest moment...running across the Rheinland fleet with the Blood Dragons, killing it, and realising just how many ships had just been blown to buggery. Also, disarming the Missouri in my Starflier by obliterating turrets. hee hee

the first time i saw a red hessian battle fleet in omicron alpha, that was some serious fun, especially picking up all the left over H-fuel

For you noob's don't read this as it would spoil it for you!

When we went to get the shield generators at the planet before entering the dyson sphere complex. I always loved that particular scenario from a certain movie and now I know why. I wanted to play that one over and over again as it was a gas to fly low and fast thrusters on full to give my missles and mines a little extra kick on the way to the generators. I did a lot of loops as I flew straight at them and turned away at the last moment. Great fun!

Just some thoughts from the edge of space!

When I was attacked by another player in Manhattan, my first launch in a Starflier, first time in MP. I returned fire, turning and burning, engines disengaged. Knowing I couldn't beat him, I started thrusting around Trenton.

He shot Trenton so many times, the entire vicinity went hostile, police, navy, stations, docking ring, trade lanes. It was all I needed to escape. That's when I knew SP was a joke compared to MP.

After I bought it, just seeing what there was after the first mission ended.

I remember beating the demo and being really anxious to play the real deal.

my favorite moment was right after i beat single play for the first time... i wanted to go to malta, because i read here that sabres were sold there... didnt think to check what faction they were, so im in an anubis and i had no idea where any jump holes were... so i ended up having to run like hell, i used all my nanos getting away from outcasts, so i just had to fight corsairs... i kept going and going, not having any idea where i would wind up, because i had no place to dock anywhere out there, and didnt know about patrol lanes, so i was flying completely blind just heading into clouds to escape... anyway long story short, i killed so many freakin corsairs the hessians were green to me (never even heard of hessians before this jaunt, mind you) , so my repair-less ship limped into a hessian base i wound up stumbling into in one of the sigma systems, completely on flames with only a tiny sliver of health left from all the radiation and combat... i can still see the docking animation to this day, was like 2 hours of complete and raw exploration ending with my ship engulfed in flames seeking repairs. most intense game experience ive ever had, period

my greatest gaming moment was when I realized I had more than one greatest gaming moment
