You can get $100,000 to $150,000+ missions on Crete ( in SP at least, don't know MP ) but they are difficult

You can get way more than that. Up to/around 250k.

If your not friendly iwth pirates and you cant be bothered to trade, pirate the pirates!!! Hang around jumpholes in known pirate areas and look out for mules jumping out and attack them, they often have gold, silver, diamonds, artifacts or cardamine in them, nab the stuff and go back to an important planet like Manhattan, Colorado or New Berlin etc and trade for megabucks!!. It doesn't make money as quickly as trading but its definitely more fun.

the way i made my millions (10+) was to attack freighters carrying valuable items, such as diamonds, nibolium, gold etc and sell them at a profit! and only attack freighters with cargo that you can sell for a good profit! this means for example dont attack a rheinland military freighter with diamonds and try and sell them back to rheinland military! etc etc

this is a fun way to play as there are so many freighters to attack! it took me a few days to gather my millions but its worth it!

if your going to trade i cant remember what comodities sell at a high price and where, but bases in sigma 7 and sigma 3 (freeport 1 i think) offer good prices on most stuff from rheinland and it aint a long journey! thats how im making money in multiplayer!

If you do not wish to trade, and instead decide to do missions, you can get 100K Credits plus from many of the border world/pirate stations, like the Corsairs homeworld crete, or the Outcast homeworld, Malta. The only catch is you have to be friendly with them, but on the plus side Malta and crete contain the best Very Heavy Fighters so its worth checking out

So , after you make your millions, what do you do then? Do you get bored once you have 10,000,000 credits to your name? Nothing in the game is expensive enough to be challanging at that level right?

Would be nice if you could have more than one ship.. hop in your freighter for a cargo run and then hop in your fighter for some battles. Hm. Ah well..

Hey Atlas,
That's what you do with 10,000,000 credits. Trade your fighter for a freighter. Haul cargo and/or shoot asteroids until boredom sets in and then buy a fighter and go kill stuff. If you are careful what you kill you can neutralize your alignment and go back freighting. I like the Dromedary-Titan switch myself. Hauling diamonds in the Dromedary is a real challenge too. Everybody seems to want to try to take them from you.

Good Hunting,
Max

After the SP campaign, I was flying an Anubis. I embarked on few high risk combat missions to get my cash reserves up and save up for a Humpback. After I bought it, I did few trade runs inside the Rheinland and Bretonia systems. After getting some more money for good CL. 6 and 8 turrets and Cl.7 shields I went to Freeport 9 in Omicron Theta and bought a full load of Alien Organisms for $400 a tonne. After that I just hauled my ass through the two Omega systems (Omega-41 and -11) to Dresden system, and from there it was a piece of cake to get to California Minor to sell the cargo for $2000 a tonne. Nice profit of around $380,000. Of course Alien Organisms is a delicate cargo so as soon as I entered radiation areas of Omega-41 they started dying. By going full throttle I lost maybe 10 organisms throughout the whole trip. Sure, it's almost $20,000, but it doesn't seem like a lot of money when your bank account increases this much. Now, you know the advantages of this trip, so you might ask, "what are the cons?" Well, wild hordes of Corsairs and Hessians stand between you and your destination. A remedy? ****load of saving and lots of patience. One time they might kill you, but the other you might escape. It's all up to you.

PS
I think this is my longest post on this forum to date.

Man high risk missions are as much if not more than the humpback. Try doin a level 42 mission worth 230k in a Titan with 2 level 7 flamcurse agaisnt about 20 level 19 bounty hunters. THAT is a high risk mission. Or even getting to crete in a starflier, yes it has been done and it is a b....h. Some guys gave me money and i hate the right people on my side so i went for it.

Its only illegal if you get caught

Ok, here's *the* way to make money:

After you've completed the SP campaign, go to Rochester. Kill any rogue ships, and then start camping outside the docking ports.

Every once a while, a CSV will pop out. It will be carrying 79999 of a commodity.

So, if it's something valuable, such as Cardamine, Artifacts, Diamonds, Gold, kill it and pick it up, and go to Manhattan to sell it. A full Dromedary load of Cardamine will net you 412500 credits.

But, it can take a while to get a valuable transport to pop out. A long while. And still stuff drops, and the place may start looking like this:
