Ireland was neutral in world war 2 because ourcountry was invaded and held for 700 bloody years by a brutal English reign.So they decided no to fight beside a country that 30 yrs before was their enemy.As to your points German u-boats did not dock in Irish ports (they where allowed to pass through Irish waters-as we were neutral),English forces did not surround the Dail(irish parliment)Also Ireland returned all English pilots ,sailors ...who crashed /ran aground on Irish soil but detained German soldiers.Your opinion is obviously the product of an English education system that glorifies English victories and ignores the less favourable aspects Boer war,Ireland... Next time atleast put some vague research into a historical topic before you ever write such politically incorrect and offensive things again.
By the way My Dad has a Degree in Irish history and I checked with him so I'm pretty sure I'm correct.

As for Jim59 see above also how could such a ignorant comment in your second paragraph?The roads which you refer to (famine roads) were the only option given to a starving population (due to english landlords).in exchange for building roads to nowere a "generous" english reign repayed them with minimal food.Not only was the famine due to england the aid offered by them was minimal instead religious order and american aid was relied upon.

it has been said many times, history is writen by the victors. when there is no absolute victory both sides will create differnt versions of 'history'. all people will show propaganda to suport their cause. all we knwo is that the truth might be somewhere in between both extreems...
anyhow it is just a game, relax and enjoy it a bit... i have played many games in which things i like have been distorted to a very extreem point but that doesnt make me not like the game (just not like that bastard that wrote it...)
