Flawlessly --- so far --- 93 hours.

Don't fall for the XP hype. Win98 is the ONLY OS so far that is perfect for gaming and doesn't have any incompatibility issues with certain games.

No problems on XP either

i´m running FL under Win98SE, never saw a problem... I had WinME instaled a few months ago, but it was too slow for everything... it seemed too heavy. So I went back to Win98SE and I have no regrets!

98SE is the best runs every game i've tried and not a prob, although its not quite as good as MSDos v3.3

Windows 2000 Pro is actually fairly strong for games, now days. It wasn't when it first came out, but I've never had a problem.

XP's kernel is leaner that W2k, but that's about the only thing that makes XP better.

Works like magic in win98. Just get the latest driver, direct x and stuff like that.

Hit your enemy when they surrender
Hit your enemy when they can't fight no more

The problem I have with Win 2k is that many older programs (i.e., made in 2000 or earlier) erroneously identify it as Win NT 4.0 and refuse to run.

I'm sticking to Win 98 SE until M$ stops supporting it. I have yet to come across new software that won't run on 98 SE, while my XP-using friends have problems running all sorts of games.

I've got it running on both XP and 98se. Personally I like 98se cause It's the only OS I can run Thief 1 on w/out flaws. By the way,(getting off topic) has anyone tried out the myjemm program for Privateer 1? Success? Failures? I've had both.

Running Win2K here. FL is solid, no CTDs, no nothing.

I've never had a compatibility problem with Win2K either for games written before 2000. Some gamers forget to do this and perhaps this is why, but there is a compatibility update one must download from Microsoft for Win2K if one wants to run games written for Win95/98.

Heck, with an MS-DOS boot disk I can still play DOS-based games like Privateer 1 (as long as I have a partition on my HD formatted in FAT).

hehe, i recently installed win98 on my 2nd harddrive (additionally to winXP), and about 10 minutes after the installation i encountered my first bluescreen

yet for games, win98 has no flaws.
i only installed it again so that i could use my old gravis firebird joystick, which isnt supported by winXP anymore.
(hell, 7 years old and still works like a charm!!)
