WE NEED 1.1 PATCH

WE NEED IT NOW:
- With anti-cheating fix.
- With Game Manager command line.
- With a Mission manager, to create and load differnt missions like: missions with enemy battleships, scramble (defende the base), and treasures creations(created weapons), of course this will only be avaliable to the game manager.
- With some corrections like:
Put some use on the oder base and the 2 planets on the unknown system.
Put a lvl 10 gun with 8.33 fire rate.
Put a lvl 10 turret.
Put a lvl 8,9,10 freighter ship (at least a lvl 8, if u thing that lvl 9 and 10 r only to Very Heavy Fighters).
Better missions when u r on a group, like destroy a battleship.
Put the possibily to be hired as escort by npc transport at the space by using the hail command on the transports.
NPC Wingman to hire at the bar.
- NPC wingman command key (protec me/mytarget, atack at will/my target).
- Possibility to Buy Bases and create own factions.
- Player forum on MP game located on all planets.
- Some video fixes.

If Microsoft or digital Anvil put this it will make this game awesome in MP game.

The top 3 sound more like a patch, the rest sound like an expansion pack. I'm sure a patch will be out soon enough, the game hasn't even been out a month. I'd rather wait than have a patch full of holes because they were rushed along to release it.

To be honest most of these sound like a (large) expansion pack than a patch. Let's be realistic. CRC checking, trainer prevention, and more random missions would be a fantastic list of changes for 1.1

Anti-cheating fix? without giving away instructions.. what kind of cheating have you seen? I've not seen any, as fas as I know.

The most obvious is when someone goes from level 1 to 38 instantly or when that same person launches from manhatten at level 1 with a titan & full compliment of sunslayer torpedos.

the most important thing to fix is the bug where people loose sound! Sound is atmosphere, the game is little without sound and i cant hear what those damn pilots say!

Ahh...Punkbuster....One of my co-workers was talking about that...

Came with a patch of Return to Castle Wolfenstein...Looks like it may be something designed for id Software's engine....So it may not work with Freelancer....But it appears from thier site (http://www.evenbalance.com/index.php) Not really advertising....Just info

Says they they contract out...so maybe a version could be modified for Freelancer's server.....Maybe Micro$oft can remove thier collective heads from thier rectal cavities, and stop taking 6 months to a year to release a patch...that doesn't really fix anything. lol

Patch? Needs a re-write

Add better modding support or give us an SDK.

Fix Dumb AI.
Fix Control problems with Optical mice.
Fix speeds for ships.
Fix weapon load-outs so VHF arent so common.

Add more mission types.
Add more equipment slots. (For a game that was supposed to be RPG based where your ship is your charactor, its real limited)

The only thing thats gonna save this game is the modding community, make life easier for them, release an SDK or even some lists of the INI contents meaning.

For the patch I would like to see better collision detection/collision avoidance.

Last night I was hauling a load a freight and docked at the Missouri. When I went to undock another ship began to dock and actually knocked me back into the loading bay. There I was, stuck in the bay with the doors closed and no way to get out. Luckily after about a minute or so another ship came in and I was able to jet away.

Someone else mentioned that they had gotten stuck in one of the alien bays as well. Don't know what ever happened to them since where they got stuck was a hostile base so none of the good guys could dock and help them out.

I'm using an optical mouse with no problems.... mind you I switched to PS2 port cuz the polling rate is higher, so that might be it. Try PS2 instead of USB.

I use an usb/optical mouse as well and can't report any problems here. It's a Microsoft Intellimouse Explorer.

As far as fixes go, I'd like to see this little beauty fixed:

When I leave Pueblo and have a load for Sheffield and go into Universe view to plot my course, for some reason the waypoint to the New York gate doesn't get highlighted and I have to highlight it myself. Also, when I get to the New York system the plotted course doesn't use the tradelanes but instead just bypasses them and tried to get me to fly a straight line from the gate to West Point. Weird.

well I think all those suggestions were valid... I can't wait for the next one... but heck im havin an awsome time with this version.

to fix ur sound probs u have to get ride of u codecs (eg. nemo) and reinstall some poeple who i know had the same prob
